We have been to Willow several times of the last 4 years. We have been to the start of the Iditarod three time and stayed locally 3 times. The last time just a week ago at the end of October 2023. One of our friends that lives there gave us a personal tour of the new museum that holds the history of the Willow area. Highly recommend visiting the museum it is located next to the Willow Community center.

Very small town: 2 gas stations,2 small markets,1 liquor/video store, Post Office and 2 medical offices. Sunshine Clinic is amazing! Don't miss Second Hand Rose thrift store and the carving shop/gallery across from the market on the Parks Hwy. Fantastic library and playground area behind it. Also features the smallest hardware store I've ever seen, but it stocks what we need here. A few small deli/grill places are available. Roni's and Townsite Market are a few. Hilltop Chevron has great service and propane and ice.
