I would like to share a experience I had at the Waterville restore. On 9/9/21 I asked the manager there if it would be possible to store a hutch, table and dog pen there until my closing, as I had no where to put it. She told me it would be ok. I then asked if it could be delivered- again was told yes. I paid for these items and left. Yesterday I went to the restore and not only was the table not even marked sold, I couldn’t even find the dog pen. I asked Kelly what was going on and she told me that they “don’t deliver”- after telling me they did and marking it on the sold tag of two items(see pics)I wouldn’t have purchased these items had I known they couldn’t be delivered. I asked just to be refunded… Kelly refused to refund me $127.97, instead they offered me a credit that I most likely will never use- as anything that expensive would need to be delivered…never had an issue in 10+ years of going to the restore. Given that they mistakenly told me it could be delivered and then trying to say they “wouldnt have done that” more or less saying I’m lying- even going so far as to say”no one would have told you that” yet there it is on the sold tag. They should of made it right. They should of refunded me in this unusual circumstance. This isn’t honest and isn’t my mistake. Just letting you know that’s how they roll there. So if you buy something - take it with you because no matter what they say they don’t deliver. Plan to contact headquarters about this. Not because of the money but the principal of it.

Not even sure if this an actual store or an office because when we got there it was upstairs in an old building and the door was locked. It's 2pm on a Friday?

You never know what you'll find here -

Building supplies, tools, furniture, appliances, and myriad home furnishings abound. Two floors are packed full of treasures. There's an elevator which is great for those who find stairs challenging or off limits.

Staff is friendly and helpful

The only negative experience was a recent purchase of a queen size bed frame, clearly labeled with the size, which, after paying a neighbor to collect it for me and getting it home only to discover it was a full, not queen, frame. $45 wasted.

Easily one of the best resale shops I've been in for a while. They have a nice selection of "scrap" materials for home repair and renovation along with sinks, doors, windows. The upstairs area is full of a variety of furniture as well as dishes and decorations, small and large appliances. Very friendly staff. Update:. They seem to turn over inventory fairly quickly, the furniture was mostly different from last time

The cruelty of it all . Bought a love seat that was on the second floor and it looked clean. The woman at the desk gave me a big piece of paper with all the information. Then a small piece of index paper cut to resemble a receipt, went downstairs to pay and the woman at the register that was some sort of manager hand me the piece of index paper with the price of the furniture and I assume this was a receipt, did actually not give me a receipt. I was surprised and thought this must be a form of receipt. This was my first time at this particular store. I went upstairs to look at some more stuff and took a look at the love seat they had moved it to the back of the store and it was upsidedown we're I noticed the furniture had mold underneath. Went to tell the woman that works there and she assured me it was not mold, however another young employee said it was mold . I came back with a friend the next time and he seen the furniture and he said that was mold , they had stains that were under the cushions that I didn't see when they had the sofa sitting pretty at the exit from the elevator on the second floor. I talked to the manager and he requested my receipt, and of course I didn't have it because today you need to ask for your receipt, otherwise they won't give it to you. Another scam to prevent them from a return or at least a store credit. He told me to come back, he had to talk to the woman that assured the furniture was not moldy . Of course they work together and I had no chance. I lost 140.00 Dollars The store manager would not give me a store credit . He told to find two love sofas , knowing that there was no love sofas available. Therefore as an excuse to keep my 140.00 dollars . No store credit no nothing . And, the other manager that rang my transaction did not give me the receipt on purpose Buyer beware. Look under the furniture you're buying because it could be in very bad shape and worse it could have mold. And make sure you ask for your receipt . There is no compassion here , it's all about how they can overcharge you and scam you. Money can't buy class . There is nothing about humanity here.

If I had to sum up the Waterville Re-Store in 3 words it would be Fascinating, Practical, Friendly.

Here's why:

Fascinating - They have so many interesting pieces salvaged from antique homes. Plenty of things you just won't find anywhere else nowadays. Victorian sink fixtures, hardwood furniture, even an old intercom set from the '30s!

Practical - Why buy a set of furniture wheels new for $3 each when you can buy them here for $0.49 each? If you are planning any projects, I suggest passing through here before you go to a home improvement store. They might not have EVERYTHING you need, but what they DO have will be a great deal.

Friendly - What can I say? The staff here is great.

So there it is! Fascinating, Practical, and Friendly. If you're in the area, it's definitely work checking out!
