I'm sure Volley One is amazing if your daughter is selected to play on a Red or Black team. And if your daughter does not initially make one of the higher teams, do everything you can to get her moved up! There is a huge difference in how the teams are treated within Volley One and it's not worth your money if you are not on a higher ranked team. We wish we had known that for our first season because we fell for the sales pitch they gave us at parent meetings that they value each team, etc. We played on one of the lower level teams and got a very different experience than we were sold. We were told the coaches are all the same caliber regardless of which team but then were assigned a coach who had never coached volleyball before and had received no training from Volley One. When we asked the facility about it, we were told we didn't pay for an experienced coach yet they never made that a defining point in their parent meetings!! When we received our jersey, it was too small. I asked to order a larger size and was told we would have to pay for the new one because the jersey we received was in the size we indicated. I agreed to pay for the new jersey since the one we were assigned was the size we ordered. Our season just ended this past weekend and we NEVER RECEIVED THE CORRECT JERSEY!! As if that isn't bad enough, the center never bothered to call or email me with an update or apology or anything. I asked at least twice a week for the status and was always told that it's in the mail and should be at the center shortly. This went on from December until I gave up a week before our last tournament in March!!

Once you pay for your season, you will never hear from the owners or anyone from the center again other than your coach. Even if you have a problem or concern, good luck ever getting to talk to anyone other than the coach. They will tell you at parent meetings that every team is treated the same and the only difference is the amount and distances of tournaments, more practice time, more equipment. They will tell you that all coaches are trained the same and are experienced coaches - that's not what we experienced either.

Had we known then what we know now, we would have either put our daughter on a higher ranked team or would have gone to another center. Nobody on our team had a good experience this season and sadly, nobody at Volley One will ever know because we could not get them to talk to us or help us!!

My family LOVES Volley One! No one in Georgia trains better than them. When I'm in the gym you will see A5/Tsunami/Cobb ATL players coming over for private lessons. Plain and simple YOU GET THE BEST OF THE BEST. My child started on a 2s team and has moved up to a 1s team and we got the SAME attention our first year as we do now. We will never leave. We think George, Lindsey and Erin are the best you can get in the state! V1 is also very family oriented and there is always a welcoming feel when you walk in! Go Volley One

My daughter was part of the move from Southern Spirit to VolleyOne. One week after making the black team a young man dropped a bowling ball on her foot and broke her big toe. She was in a boot for 6 weeks and had just made it back before Big South. My daughter injured her knee during the first 9 points of the her first game during Big South. She had served all 9 points and her knee gave way as she landed on the 9th serve. Initially my daughter did not understand the magnitude of her injury. The next morning as she hobbled to our car to support her teammates, I noticed tears running down her face. I called coach George and let her know that I didn't think it was appropriate to have her walking through the world congress center and to have her leg in a dependent position. It had already doubled in size with ice all night long. I work in medicine. Several players called us to tell us that Coach George had went on a rant about how my daughter was not hurt and just wanted to stay home.
The next morning we learned that my daughter had severely ruptured her ACL. She had reconstructive surgery. George the owner and coach called one time to ask for her jersey. We never heard another word from the facility. Think about that?

I tell this story to illustrate the lack of compassion, care and leadership in this organization. We didn't ask for a refund - paid all of our dues (close to 5k) and played in about 3 events between the two injuries. For a coach knowing what volleyball at this level means to these young women (16 years old) to be so cold, callus and lack even common decency has bothered with me for sometime. My daughter is a sophomore in college - 2 1/2 years removed from VolleyOne. I felt compelled to set the record straight. Go to A-5, A-5 South, or any of the other major clubs but DO NOT TRUST your children in the care of such EVIL people.

We had a great experience at Volley One this last season. Everyone was so professional and worked hard to improve my daughters skills. I would highly recommend this club to anyone that wants to be a part of an exceptional volleyball experience.

As someone who has tried out for and done workouts with other clubs and gyms , this gym is worried about teaching you the skill and farther imp that skill. The teams you are working and play with are amazing and awesome teams. As they say you have to do technique, technique, and technique.
