This is a great meeting place for all. I began as an atheist, as I know for a fact that god does not exist. Since this location is so accepting, I felt liberated to begin exploring Satanism, which the leaders have welcomed with open hearts. The reason for this 1 star review is that the word “church” is still included in the name, which really should be removed as it implies a connection to religion.

In my experience, fInding a religion and church that is a good fit is a journey. For me, the path led me to Unitarian Universalism. And having recently moved to Boulder, I checked out this church and it was love at first sight. I could not have felt more welcomed from the first time I visited and now cherish being part of its community. I thoroughly enjoy its many offerings and opportunities to give back. I strongly recommend checking it out, even if you find it isn't a good fit for you.

This is a beautiful church, they're tearing it down and rebuilding? Developers got their ear( they are very tricky and have ruined Boulder enough)? I can't express how superfluous this new building is!! It was not overcrowded, unless it's COVID season! How did the elders get snowed into this?!?!? Look at Mapleton Hospital area construction, with built in cosmetic surgery clinic for the luxury view blocking apartments, rows and rows just built. Are there termites on Pennsylvania Ave? Is the roof failing? Nice solar panels. Doesn't the congregation see what the money huffers are doing? I've heard them on the trails... THEY'RE DEVELOPERS! They wedge their way in through any crack. How did they get Pearl Street view blocking high-rises in? Aren't beautiful views for everyone? What the H*** happened to Boulder!!!? I heard they didn't have a big enough tax base. Trim the fat, cut some social programs that just draw in free loading out of staters... The UU's on Pennsylvania are being duped by the concerted efforts of greedy people. I have a feeling this is a fear based move. Can't you worship in the lovely spaces outdoors? It wasn't crowded compared to Trader Jo's on a Sunday. Crowded? Ha, UU's used to love to hug and be close. It's no more crowded than when I came there as a kid 40+ years ago. Did COVID turn everyone into a robot with crossed wires? My loving congregation is being duped! Add more services, it's only crowded if you're spoiled and or afraid (live in a 3000 sq ft monster house anyone?) Am I the only one who remembers Just because you're liberal doesn't mean you're daft. Say NO to this rebuilding Hooey, enough!

My wife and I were looking for a spiritual community, and we found UUCB in 2023. We were welcomed with open arms and have found it really worth our while to get heavily involved. It is a loving and inclusive place, where we are challenged to support each other in becoming our best selves, and contributing to a more thriving world. If you are looking for a liberal religious community, check it out!

I am eternally grateful for the community at UUCB. Not only are they a spiritual home for myself and many of their members. They are also a pillar of what it means to stay in the work for a more just and inclusive tomorrow. This is visible not only through the worship services and practices of the church, but through their partnerships with community organizations to share space and other resources.

UUCB is truly not just a space for Unitarian Universalists but for all those in Boulder seeking a loving and welcoming community.

What a friendly, welcoming place! A model UU church in terms of the quality of its ministry, family-oriented teaching, charity programs, and community services. Most sermons are about important social justice history, unusual spiritual ideas, and how to live intentionally in the modern world. It's a medium-sized church with about 300 regular attendees. Most are retired or families with children. Most of the congregation seems to have come to UU after rejecting Christianity for various reasons, and it should be noted that in many ways UU is basically "Christianity without God." It retains most of the Christian norms of group-based spiritual practice (meet on Sundays, greet each other, piano music, sing, have a preacher teach us, etc.) This is a UU thing, not at all specific to this church, but it should be noted if you're coming from a non-Christian tradition.

The community at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder is incredible. Everyone is so kind and welcoming and the message/sermons are about topics that help you gain perspective and remember what’s important in this crazy world of ours. Childcare and religious education is offered for children so parents can relax and give themselves some spiritual self-care.

I really appreciate being part of a church community where I find poetry rather than theology and great Community Spirit without the Dogma! Thou art god. Let us grok together. ;~)
