I remember on my first day at tutoring club, I was afraid. I was an afraid 4th grader. I was afraid of what was going to come, I was afraid of this new change. My fears disappeared quickly as I realized how caring and welcoming my tutors were. This experience was different, I felt interested in learning and I was having a great time. This was so different from my past tutoring place. Throughout my six years here, I grew a big passion for learning and it brought me much joy (Okay maybe not waking up early on saturdays though haha). Tutoring Club helped me feel confident in school and confident as a person. Fortunately, I am not an afraid 4th grader, but a confident and proud 10th grader. I would like to thank Mr A and my tutors for contributing to who I am today, it is truly a bittersweet feeling.

When I was searching for a place to tutor my daughter in reading, I just Googled what was near me. I tried to teach her spelling and reading myself, but we both got frustrated with each other. When Tutoring Club popped up, I called to see what it was about. Mr. A was very kind and explained their program. He told me that their goal is to have kids doing homework without asking for help and sure enough one month in, my 7 yo was doing it all on her own! It was amazing how fast she progressed and how confident she was. She had lost a lot of her sight words over the summer after Kindergarten and just about 3 weeks before school started in the Fall, she was ahead of her class! She was nervous her first day of tutoring. She was even tearing, but when I picked her up, she had the biggest smile and said she had so much fun! She loves saving up her points they earn to get items from their store. I'm so grateful to Miss Delaney (her main tutor) and the rest of the staff for helping my baby girl reach her best reading and spelling goal. She's been student of the week and month since joining Tutoring Club! I hardly check her HW anymore and it comes back as 100%! Even her spelling tests! I don't review or test her during the week anynore and those come back 100%! Definitely recommend this place!

My kids have been at Tutoring Club for almost 2 years and it has been a great experience. When I started looking for an academic enrichment program for them, I researched a number of places in our area - some more relaxed, more rigid or specialized in certain subjects. In the end, I picked TC because of Mr. A. I called to get general info and he ended up spending 40 minutes on the phone, answering many questions, asking me about my kids and patiently telling me about the program. It is this personal connection that really stood out to me. Mr. A cares about the personal success of each student and understands that each child is unique. In our 2 years there, my kids have continued to perform above average in school and complain minimally about their 2x a week sessions at TC. Of course they would rather be playing at home, but they go and come out of every session in good mood and agree that TC has helped them excel and have confidence at school. That is a success in my book!

Tutoring Club really helped both of my daughters. My youngest took math for 3 years, excelling her math levels greatly. Now she is taking Calculus BC as a high school sophomore plus getting As in all math classes, including the College of San Mateo MATH 251 Calculus with Analytic Geometry class that she took last summer. The teachers at Tutoring Club explain the subject very clearly, making it very easy for my daughters to learn. The reading program was great as well testing grammar, writing, and reading. My older daughter was able to get 1500 in SAT after taking the Tutoring Club program. Highly recommended!!!

We are so pleased with the progress our son has made at tutoring club. In the short few months that he’s been at tutoring club in Millbrae, his reading level has improved from a 4 to a 12! Ari is so great with the kids, and all the tutors there are patient and professional. My son actually said that the hour he spends there for reading tutoring just flies by. I’m amazed because he is usually pretty resistant to academic activities. They are definitely doing things right at tutoring club Millbrae!

Tutoring Club deserves of 5+ star rating!

My daughters attended Millbrae Tutoring Club during their elementary and middle school years. My elder daughter struggled with math in 4th grade, and the younger daughter was behind in reading. I happened upon Tutoring Club by chance in search of help for my kids, and I cannot be more satisfied with the outcomes. Not only did their academics improve, but Tutoring Club also boosted their confidence.

Mr. A and the experienced Tutors know how to motivate kids. The set-up is excellent; the Tutoring schedule works well (convenient times and flexible), and their on-site location is right off El Camino. I liked this program so much; that I even signed my daughters up during the summer.

Wow, was it worth it! My eldest daughter made it into an accelerated math course in middle school thanks to Tutoring Club’s help. As a result, she was a successful and independent learner in high school and is heading to UC Berkeley this year!

My younger daughter is reading above grade level now and switched to the math program at Tutoring Club. She now brings math tests home, proudly, for me to sign. She even got 105% on her last test.

Tutoring Club Millbrae is simply the best learning program out there!

Highly recommend - within 6 weeks of starting with Tutoring Club, my third grader has gone from struggling with math to loving it, and has just achieved above average score on his star test at school . This is 100% thanks to TC. I cannot thank them enough for shining a light on math for my son. they make it fun, they incentivize and they build confidence.
