TMPL Ave A's personal trainers are so great here because they helped you with your fitness goals by achieving them. To be honest, I know from experience by having Madison as my personal trainer (currently still having her as my personal trainer, its been almost three years with Madison) she's very hardcore when it comes with her clients and helping them with their fitness goals as well. The general manager, Patty Curran is so great and very helpful, when it comes with her employees and the gym members if they have any questions or concerns about the gym. If you ever visit or want to move in NYC, TMPL Ave A is the best gym in the East Village.

Outstanding gym experience!

I had an amazing experience at TMPL Avenue A in NYC! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel welcome right from the start. The equipment was top-notch, with a great variety of machines and free weights, perfect for any workout routine.

The overall vibe was energetic and motivating, making it easy to stay focused and push through my workout. I particularly loved the modern design and cleanliness of the facility.

Been coming here for 3 weeks (4-5x/week) and it’s a nice gym! You get what you pay for in a good way.

Pros: the equipment is great quality. They have every piece of equipment you’d need.
The staff here are super great! Shout out to my boy Louis who brings a smile to everyone who walks in. The locker rooms are top notch.

Cons: there’s only one or two of some equipment so you might have to wait for it. This location does get quite busy in the before work and after work hours. I will also note there tends to be a lot of gym bros here at those times. Last con: there’s no steam room or hot tub.

Avenue A - Easily the best Gym in the east village. Has tons of space on multiple floors, the staff is super friendly and helpful if there is an issue. The trainers are also pretty chill and friendly.

I had a fantastic experience at TMPL, East Village. Roxy, who was my initial contact, was exceedingly helpful, going out of her way to make me feel welcome and integrating me into their system. I had neglected to bring a lock, and she was able to find a solution to store my belonging while I worked out.
10 out of 10!
I will definitely be back.

This place is a terrific spot to workout. Ala amd Jesse at the front desk make you feel like family. It's always clean and well maintained. So much better than the prior owners of that "big name" chain that used to occupy this space. Excellent equipment as well.

Nice gym with plenty of space and equipment for a reasonable price. I have been training with Tania for close to a year and she’s been great. She really helps keep me accountable for my fitness goals.
