The Muse is an AMAZING, inclusive and inspiring place - a second home for writers, artists, thinkers and creatives alike. I have been lucky enough to both take classes and teach classes here and it has been one of the greatest highlights of my life, both as teacher and student. They did a wonderful job at adapting during the pandemic and put all classes online. Come take a class here, you'll make lifelong friends. Cheers to The Muse!

The Muse Writers Center is my home away from home. Sometimes serendipity changes your life. Eight years ago, after languishing over my poor writing skills, I saw a flyer for the Muse in a local restaurant. I took a chance and it turned out to be one of the best things I've done in my life. After taking dozens of classes over the years and fostering many treasured relationships, I was able to self publish my Military Science Fiction novel. I always look forward to interacting with my classmates and other fellow writers. The Muse Writers Center is open to anyone to attend classes, write, socialize and the collaboration is wonderful. Writers of all types at the Muse revel in each others success fostering a wonderful environment to be in. Definitely a hot spot for writing, and in my opinion the best.

One of the most caring, safe places I've ever been to. And they teach wonderful classes with teachers who are often well-known in their fields. And there are always other events happening from book readings to social meetups. A great place to make friends with other authors as well.

This place is located in ghent! The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly!! Tons of writing classes for all ages!! Definitely a gem in Norfolk. There are a lot of authors young and old who got there start and or support! I encourage you to check out their website and share with friends and family!! Chances of you bumping into a author in Hampton Roads are high!! So for all the wanna be writers you can get your start push or kick to get going here. Lastly they do have discounts on classes so no matter your budget you can partake in the many forms of writing!

This is an excellent place for a wide range of writers to learn their craft. From how to write your memoir to becoming the next J.K. Rowling, the friendly, vastly experienced instructors offer small group sessions. Fun, friendly and affordable.

I have taken a couple of writing classes here that have been a lot of fun. It's nice to have a place to come together with creative-minded people. I also think it's really cool that they work with people who can't afford classes.
