I love The Doggie Bag, Heather and Rhonda know their stuff. If you have questions about anything dog or cat related they will go above and beyond to help you. If they don’t have the answer now they will go out of their way to find it for you. I love this little boutique for our fur babies. If you haven’t been, then I suggest you see for yourself how knowledgeable, nice and friendly the employees are. I am sure you will find something special for your babies. I have been shopping there for years and have never had a problem. My cats always love the toys from The Doggie Bag!

Heather and the team at The Doggie Bag are great! They are all very friendly, and especially love when pets come in to see them. They have high quality foods that you won’t find at a big box store and a large assortment of meat a baked treats! Collars , leashes, pet apparel… they even have pet inspired home goods and funny shirts for pet parents.

The welcoming atmosphere once you open the doors says it all! The ladies are very helpful in all aspects to find the correct dog food and snacks for our family pet. The accessories are adorable and prices are reasonable. I follow them on Facebook along with Tik Tok and they show they are the best in town. I highly recommend anyone to check them out. Small business owners are the best way to go. Very honest and friendly equals 5 stars!!!!!

My original review is below this one... I don't feel it was rude or that I was being harsh about the review I left :/ But the owner is absolutely correct in her reply. We can agree that it is absolutely a win/win that I found a local shop that's closer to me. She may be very knowledgeable when it comes to animals. Unfortunately, she doesn't understand or is very knowledgeable about humans and their allergies. Maybe it would have helped had I mentioned I also have several autoimmune issues and that increases the symptoms of my allergies. I'm sure everyone to some degree has some kind of an allergy but to have several auto-immunes on top of those and to have them heightened by these - really isn't something that can lightly be dealt with by the person suffering. I appreciated how this professional that's been in business for so long 'called me out' lol... now THAT was professional of her.
While I am new to Lakeland, I am NOT knew to Florida. So, yes I do understand the storms and the frenzy and the traffic and how stores sell out quickly and so on. I'm not new to the rodeo just because I didn't live in Florida before moving to Lakeland. People sometimes move away due to personal/family reasons and then return.
I'm thankful this lady and her staff are as involved as they are with the animals in/around town. That's wonderful to hear and know that people care that much! Not all do.
Now to end my edit/reply to this lovely sweet lady! I pray that your business continue to prosper and that you can continue for many years to come to be such a valuable asset to the community in which you serve and their pets! Stay blessed 🙂

The lady we met upon entering was quick to get to what we needed. It was the day or two before Milton hit. She has a very cute setup in the store. Upon 1st arriving, we noticed a cat sitting on the backside and figured maybe a stray. We walked in, and I immediately knew there were cats inside of the store. I'm allergic, unfortunately ?
There was so much cat hair all throughout the entire store. It made it extremely difficult for me to speak with the lady as long as I wanted to. It also made it hard to concentrate on the products that were in store opposed to what I previously saw online when I pulled their store up before making the drive in the horrendous traffic in this city. They do have a good selection of certain things. But after not finding what we really needed. Plus the cat hair with my allergies. We decided the bakery closer to us would be fine. They also already have the usual products we buy, so not too much that will have to be ordered. All in all. This is a cute little shop. The lady (most likely owner or possibly) is very nice. She seems to really be on top of her knowledge. I wish they weren't so far from me & that they had less cat hair inside ?. Otherwise, if you aren't allergic to cats. If you live close by this place. I'd highly recommend them.

Wanted to get my special girl a birthday cookie today, (she turned 12 years old) so I goggled and the Doggie Bag came up. What a cute shop! Plenty of special cookies. The ladies just loved Mia and she was given birthday treats as I shopped. Mia and I enjoyed your shop. We will be back.

This place is AMAZING!! I have driven by a hundred times and finally stopped in. I'm so glad I did. The staff is A+++ the variety of HIGH quality dog and cat foods & treats is great. They also do pictures with Santa ?.
I will never go to PetsMart or Petco AGAIN!

I can't say enough good things about The Doggie Bag! We just happened to be stumbling into the shop randomly one day and so thankful we did!

The shop is small but carries a lot of various products, especially food! They also have occasional vendors come by (groomers, vet, etc.) that we've seen on occasion. While they mainly focus on dog products, they even have a kitty corner!

The reason I'm so impressed by this shop, however, is the service! My dog, Sona (see attached photo), is a tiny little thing and we hate having her on a collar. When we take her on walks or out, we always use a harness but we've found that most harnesses are very ugly to us. In comes the doggie bag to the rescue! We found a cute little dress harness that we adored on her but it wasn't in her size. We asked if she could order one for us and they were happy to oblige! She didn't charge us anything for the order until the product came in and even held it for us for a week since we weren't local!

I recommend this shop to all dog lovers!!!
