On August 30, 2023 I bought an added a new car to my insurance. Laura with Stewart took $1205.74 for coverage of the next six months. I got a letter from the DMV stating that I didn’t have insurance so I began reaching out to this business through email phone calls From November to the present. Nobody ever answered nobody ever responded and when I finally did get in touch with somebody I found out that they claim my payment was $15 short and so I haven’t had any coverage for the last six months. Nobody communicated that with me. Nobody told me that that’s what was going on and yet they kept my money , they charged me over $100 for a finders fee/using your debit card. Do not do business with these people. They are shady and they are liars. Then when you tell them how you want to be compensated after the damages you receive because of them they laugh at you. The insurance that they put me with actually doesn’t want to renew my policy because a neighbors dog had ran out in front of my car and did some damage to my vehicle. In the state of California, Insurance companies aren’t allowed to drop you after your first two claims. So it’s obvious that Stewart’s and Mapfre are used to behaving like criminals. I don’t think that the increased rates whether it be for registration or insurance is worth $200 a transaction
