I don't normally post reviews but I felt I needed to do so, today. I had an issue with my account and called for assistance. I spoke with Mariah (not sure if she spells it that way) about the issue. Mariah stated she would call me back after speaking with someone, I assume her supervisor. I never received a returned call. I called a second time, she stated she hadn't been able to speak with anyone, and wanted to call me back. I requested to have some answers about my account... I was put on hold, Juanita answered. I assume she's a supervisor or lead- I don't recall her mentioning. I'm not sure if Mariah didn't tell her the issue or not, I was on hold for almost 5 minutes, plenty of time to discuss the issue. Anyway, I told Juanita what I already told Mariah. Juanita proceeded to speak and address the issue in a rude tone. Very rude. Definitely put me on defense. I will admit that the conversation went left with snarky remarks from BOTH of us. However, I have been with Star of Texas for almost 15 years and I have NEVER received this level of poor customer service. I'm not sure if it was due to it being the end of the day or if she was having a bad day. I don't know. What I do know is- There was no compassion in her words or interaction with me, the long time customer. I know there are new people at this location, but their customer service truly needs some work. I don't care if my account has million dollars or one hundred dollars, I'm still a customer and should be treated as one. Hopefully this encounter isn't a reflection of Start of Texas Credit Union and what we (customers) have to look forward to in the future.

I have worked with Nancy regarding my new car purchase, and she is WONDERFUL!!! Very responsive and willing to explain policy, because I know about you, BUT I don't work for a financial institution.

After calming down, I decided not to close my account and my family member's accounts because, simply, I love my credit union (15 years). I decided to write a review. 3 stars should be 5, but my experience today tainted my view.
