There is a skinny Hispanic male (Armando) who currently (12–28-21) works at the coffee bar. He lied and said I had to purchase something to drink because I ate some of the free cookies at the coffee bar. I knew what he said was not true and my response was to him was “F….Y…” His response was defiant even though he was lying. He got up in my face and tried to question my behavior. An argument started. He said he was only playing when he was lying. I do not believe he was playing because he has tried this con before and I feel confident he will attempt this con-artist behavior again, but maybe not on me. He didn’t show any humility or attempt to apologize for his lying. As long as this person is working at SBMC I will advise other attendees not to believe him based of my experience. I have been occasionally coming to SBMC for over 30 years and this is the first time I’ve been treated so poorly by someone working there. The others don’t try to manipulate you into buying something. There's no requirement to purchase anything at this club and the cookies are free because they are donated by other attendees. Most of the people working there are very cooperative, honest and helpful.

Fine place
10.31.82? Still like SBMC was there for the 11 just a little while ago. Bunch of newbies and oldenheadz. 7/9/22 Went to Joe & Charlie B ok g Book Study. Very ?11/17 Google wants to know if SBMC is still the same. We're still having phun being sober. The auto fill auto spell wanted to put in suicidal where I was putting sober. Shows how wrong Google can be
2/4/2023 Going to the Joe and Charlie Big Book Study @ 5. Went to speaker meeting at 8 last night..
I would like to remain sober the rest of my days.
5/21/2023 I have 14815 days sober because I go to SBMC. Marty lead on an adult topic last night. Very satisfying.
8/13/2023 Google asked if the club is the same. Yep, we're staying sober and helping others.
As of 8/12/23 I will no longer go to the Joke and Charlie Big Book study
The leader held a second group
Consciousness to over ride a previous group decision.

I love Spring Branch Memorial Club. I have been going here since 2016 and I attribute these rooms and the people in them to the success I have had in my recovery. I firmly believe I would not be alive to share this review if it weren't for this AA club and I highly recommend coming here. If you have a loved one that is suffering from the disease of addiction, this is what is called an "open" club, so you can attend meetings to support your loved ones. They also have Al-Anon meetings to support the family and friends that suffer from the repercussions of the disease as well.

This is my home group. I love the women in sobriety and there are some great old timers who i admire. I currently have three years and counting of sobriety and this place saved me!
