They gave great care of my my Grumps and we called him that for good reason! The staff gave personalized care and it allowed him to have purpose and joy in his last year that they let him think he was in charge. This facility may be older and without fancy frills but the people are high quality.

I have visited numerous friends over the years who lived at Slaton Care Center and I was always impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and I have always been impressed with the staff’s friendliness! This past year I had the opportunity to take care of two men who were in need of advanced care and I recommended that they move in to Slaton Care. The folks that helped with placement were awesome. I visited weekly and my men were treated with respect and all of the staff, from housekeeping to nursing to administration were the best. I highly recommend Slaton Care Center for advanced care needs for your loved ones!

My grandma broke her hip and came here for rehab. She only spent a hour there, but i it was one of the worst places she’s ever been to. She had to share a small room with a roommate. They also had a bird enclosure in the front. It was pretty, but not safe for the residents or the birds. I witnessed a bird get stuck in the wire backing of the enclosure. The enclosure doors were not locked. And even when they were a bird could easily slip through the gap between the door and the enclosure. I don’t know how anyone was expected to be able to sleep there. Sirens were constantly ringing and there were loud beeps almost every second. The rooms had disgusting beds and ugly wallpaper. The toilets were cramped and they were covered in filth. It also seemed as no one cared about the patients. The food was disgusting. My grandma was served cold chicken nuggets for dinner. She said that they were hard and not cooked all the way through. We immediately took her home and now we have to find another place for her rehab. I don’t know how this place has 5 stars. It was a complete dump and it did not have a good vibe. Never coming here again.

The Slaton Care Center was a wonderfully caring place for my mother who needed long term care. They were attentive to her needs and worked well with me to make her stay as comfortable as possible. My mother thrived under their care compared to other nursing homes she had lived in. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a place for their loved one in need.

Slaton Care Center is a great place for your loved ones. When you walk in, it is immediately apparent the staff not only love their jobs but also their residents. Last time I was here I noticed they had completed their herb and vegetable garden. It even had 3 handmade water features. Absolutely amazing!!!

Staff are caring and compassionate, the administrator here is devoted and committed to nothing short of excellence. Upon visiting this facility we were greeted with caring and compassionate staff. I personally know how difficult it is to place a loved one into a "Nursing home" but this facility is more than that, it feels like someone's home. More like a community than some of the others and for that simple fact alone I would rate Slaton Care Center 5/5.

I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting Slaton Care Center but am frequently in contact with a friend who is a resident there. Her physical and mental health and happiness have improved dramatically, and I attribute that to the positive environment, excellent meals, and good care that she receives. Everything I’ve seen and heard from her, and seeing the Facebook pictures of happy residents and employees leads me to believe it’s a great place to work and one of the most pleasant facilities of this type that I’ve ever seen or heard of. They seem to have so many activities and entertainment. They also schedule Facetime calls for their residents to visit with friends and relatives. This has been a very important and enjoyable thing for me and my friend.

Slaton Care Center has been updated and is absolutely beautiful! You have to check out the new colors and art work. I just love the heart of this home, such good people here who really care.
