My kids have been doing camps and after school programs with Skate Like a Girl since 2017 and the program just keeps getting better. The instructors are kind, inclusive, welcoming, and incredibly skilled. They scaffold content, meet folks where they are at, and the chant “One more try! One more try!” encapsulates the general feel of the org. Try something new, fall down, get up, try again, and know you have a a team of folks rooting for you. I’m so thankful we have this program in Seattle!

Skate Like a Girl has been awesome for my family. Two daughters have participated in skate clinics and one of those has gone in to be a super-involved participant in all the activities! It’s been great to go to community meetups and skate with a community that allows my kid to feel confident and comfortable to skate in a crowd.

I've been attending Skate Like A Girl events for over a year. Everyone in the organization is welcoming and inclusive. In addition to providing rad skateboarding instruction, they also bring communities together. Skate Like A Girl is modeling what safe and equitable spaces should look like in skateboarding and beyond.

Skate Like a Girl is the best! The organization is a pivotal part of the skateboarding community and has helped lift up skateboarding and make it more accessible for the LGBTQ+ community in a very big and meaningful way!! SLAG is a great place for people who are new to skateboarding and want to learn the basics and beyond. I've seen and witnessed so many positive things come from Skate Like a Girl and know how hardworking, genuine, passionate, progressive and authentic their entire team is.

Skate Like a Girl creates an environment I wish I had access to as a kid. It provides a safe place to learn to skate, where everyone is encouraging, kind, and knowledgable. Since becoming a member of their community, I have referred all of my friends to them if they ever have a need, and I've been fortunate to watch many of my friends and their children take part in clinics, WT Sessions, and various events. I love Skate Like a Girl!

Plus they welcome all levels -- whether you or your kid is just starting or have been riding for years!
