Was driving through Indiana and made a left instead of a right and ended up 3 hours away in Frankenmuth, MI 😅. Apparently I had been driving for months because I stumbled into Christmas (first visit to Frankenmuth). Visited Bronners and then couldn’t resist stopping across the parking lot to visit the Chapel. It was beautiful and well maintained. Will be back again…

What a beautiful replica of the original Austrian chapel. Christmas is my favorite time of year and Silent Night my favorite Carol so my wife and I had to stop in on our trip to Frankenmuth.
Although we came in spring a last snowfall made it look like Christmas time. I highly recommend to fans of Christmas.

Before we left town, we stopped to see the Silent Night Chapel. It was a cold, brisk morning, and the sun way shining brilliantly behind the chapel. It had just opened and we were the only ones there. Take your time. Soak in the peacefulness of your surroundings. Inside is quaint and full of information. This is a must see while in Frankenmuth.

Beautiful little chapel that is a replica of the Austria one, sadly we were there too late to get to go inside, but the experience of just seeing the outside and hearing the music was lovely. When we arrived the audio just started playing the original version of silent night, which was perfect. My husband is from Germany so it was a special experience. Loved all of the signs with the different languages, including braille! It felt like a very thoughtful and touching memorial to the original and we are very glad we stopped by.

Always stop here in my travels even if I'm not stopping to visit or eat dinner. It's a beautiful place to sit briefly and enjoy a unique religious experience.

A replica of the Austrian chapel where Silent Night was first sung, it is a quiet, meditative, and historical chapel. The placards walk you through the history and give a significant amount of information about the song and Joseph Mohr, who wrote the words and Franz Gruber, who composed the music. A worthwhile, free attraction.

Christmas time is carolling time, Silent Night, the song, the lyrics says it all. At Silent Night chapel, the song is played and is translated into several languages so you can sing to it on your own tongue. Feel blessed, pray for peace and righteousness, and God’s love to conquer the world.
