Shepherd’s Village has been a tremendous blessing to single mamas and their kids. It is so much more than just a great housing opportunity. The ladies in charge pour into the moms spiritually, teach them financial responsibility, promote the moms to go back to school, and provide them with the tools needed to be successful on their own. The apartments are very nice inside in a great safe neighborhood.

This is a lovely place, a literal Godsend for my sister. Helping her to grow and make positive changes within her life, If I could give a ten star rating I would! Great organization that offers hope, love, and spirit through a supportive faith-based but genuine environment to get single moms on a good track, that still feels independent. They offer education and preface the importance of knowledge. Phyllis is the back bone of this great organization—with surely the great support of other great people, and she is a power house of a woman and human being. She has raised up some great women to continue in her foot steps to lead this organization. I hope the best for this place and those they bring in to help/lead/mentor.

Although the mission of this group is admirable, unfortunately I must offer a concern. I have 2 children living in this house with their mother half the year. One child has vacated the residence due to a huge mold issue inside the apartment. He refuses to return at this time and has chronic respiratory illness since he left a year ago. The remaining child reeks of mold and is constantly sick with fever and upper respiratory conditions. I hope the mold issue isn't systemic in the whole building as there are many families. This mold issue and building should be inspected and evaluated for toxicity.
