We came for this year's Oktoberfest! I remember coming here years (decades?) ago, in my youth, and seeing many of my parents German friends.

Many changes since my last visit, but still a fun and welcoming crowd! I ran into one woman who had never been here, but came with her father-in-law, and said she felt like one of the family. I saw some people I haven't seen in years, and was welcomed with hugs. We also met some new people who more recently joined the club, and still welcomed us with smiles and genuine interest!

This event had a few vendors, who were, for the most part, friendly and engaging. The food was very good, and the portions were quite large for the price!

Though my family German, we pretty much just grew up like regular kids, just with a lot of German clubbing family friends. Every time I bring friends from other cultures, even those who are not from Europe, they are welcomed. Stop by for a festival or other event, and enjoy some German gemutlichkeit and bier!

Our daughter loves her team and coach. If your child is ready to go beyond park district soccer this is the club for you. Being a private club expect to pay and volunteer. But, we've watch our child grow rapidly in the few months she's been there.

Been there multiple times...never a good experience. Coach is confrontational with kids on opposing teams. Treats the turf like an old man sitting on his porch yelling at kids to stay off the grass. Game over...be gone! Repeatedly reminds that it is private property. Not a welcoming atmosphere to play at all. They have taken what could have been something great and could have been welcoming into something that makes you not want to go back. We will not be.

Outstanding small venue authentic German Oktoberfest that takes place each August. Highly recommend the buffet. Lieberkase, brats, kraut and other food available separately. Great German beer and German bands. Good times!

Players are not allowed to warm up on field for their soccer games. We were unaware of this and the coach( who's home field is at this location) was rude and confrontational to opposing team and coach. How can teams properly warm up on a small patch of grass or gravel? Ridiculous.

Schwaben A.C. Soccer Fields (also hosts Hansa Soccer Academy) are beautifully landscaped and superbly maintained soccer fields. This space has many soccer fields and tons of parking with easy in and out access. These fields allow for tournament play, regular practice and play. Across the street there are many more fields with ample parking. If your child is interested in soccer I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SCHWABEN A.C. SOCCER as they have the best coaches and sponsors!!! You have to look into Schwaben for your childs development in soccer!!
