The ferry most definitely gets a fare amount of travelers. The staff are efficient at getting everyone staged & docked making for a smooth experience. We enjoyed the short ride across. A pod of dolphins made their appearance playing and fishing as we waited and it made the trip.

My wife and I travered to Port A with our young kids, my brother and his grandson . This is his first trip here, so we wanted to show him the Ferry and what the area has to offer.
We were placed in the center lane of the ship, therefore the view to the ocean was a little obscure. We figured the crew would probably not let us walk to the side of the boat so the kids can see the dolphins. We figured since our SUV has a sun roof they can stand inside and see from there. Mind you there is no sign whats so ever that says you need to remain inside of your vehicle or that you can't look out of the window. Well when my daughter decided to poke her head out of the sunroof, the captain honked the horn and one of the crew members screamed at my daughter to get back down from the sun roof.
What's the difference between them looking out the window of the side of the vehicle or the sun roof like they are still in the vehicle. There's no signs prohibiting this and even though this is a Ferry and not a tour ship, it's one of the draw for folks out town. I understand getting out your vehicle may be prohibited, but come on!! These kids are in their vehicles. Very disappointed. If you have issues, put signs up so people who aren't familiar with the rules knows what they are!

Quick as can be, on top of directions, ferry maintained well and all very friendly people. Pointed out the dolphins and where to see the sea turtles too. The little extras make the difference.

First time on this ferry, and it went really smooth, didn't have to wait in line at all. Although, I would think it would have been easier to just build a bridge, it's not likely it's all that far .
