Before starting middle school, my child said, “I want to be in the band.” One problem, he didn’t play an instrument but wanted to play the trumpet. I found Angie to help with some lessons over the summer so he didn’t walk into band class completely cold. He has now taken classes with Angie for 1.5 years and is in honor band. She’s been a wonderful, encouraging teacher. She can tell if he has/hasn't practiced and lets him know without making him feel bad. She clearly loves her instruments and the kids.

She organizes an annual holiday concert that brings all her students together. It showcases the various brass instruments and kid age ranges she teaches. Many kids stay with her until the graduate high school. It is a positive sign. I recommend Angie to anyone interested in learning the trumpet (or other brass instrument).
