So I have been a member here for a few years now. Never really had a problem until now. I wen5 in to pay my renewal fees for the upcoming year. I also store a boat on the property and pay extra to have it there. Well, while we were there to pay for the renewal, we went to get our boat so we can bring it home and do some maintenance on it before opening day. Got to our boat and seen someone had stolen my brand new motor. My motor had 2 security cables wrapped through it with 2 locks. The motor was also covered by an oversized boat motor cover. You couldn't see the make, model, or the condition of the motor from just passing by. To me, I do not believe someone hopped a barbed wire fence to steal my motor. No one is going to haul a 100lb + motor over a fence like that. To me, it seems like either another member stole it or quite possibly a staff member. They even took the lock they cut off with them. I am livid. Went back to the office and got a refund of the $500 plus we just gave them. We no longer want to be members here. They claim to have security but yet where tf is my motor? i posted on their facebook group to warn other members that someone had stolen my motor and the admin went and blocked me from the group. What kind of business are you guys running? How are you going to protect the person stealing from members or someone trying to warn members about leaving their property here? Its already bad enough that i was ripped off but for me to warn other members to check on their belongings and to get banned after my warning says to me that you do not care about your members, you are only their for their money. The first picture is what my boat and motor looked like stored, completely covered. The second picture was taken on 12/28/24 with the motor gone.

Went to this seemingly promising lake on a beautiful Saturday morning, hoping for a new experience closer to home than Castaic. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Despite living here for 20 years, I had never heard of this freshwater reservoir. Upon arrival, the reason became apparent—it expects people to pay over $1,000 to use it as a lake, a shockingly high fee.

Having fished almost every lake in Southern California, I've never encountered such an odd and off-putting situation. This exorbitant charge for access left me shaking my head in disbelief. For comparison, I'll happily stick to the more reasonable and familiar options like Castaic and Pyramid, where the fishing experience is not marred by such excessive fees. Discovering this hidden cost was disheartening, and I recommend others to check out alternative lakes with more reasonable policies for an enjoyable fishing outing.
