My neice was assigned a case worker, Ludessa, who from day 1 has been providing false information on several occasions. The most current situation
which brings us here is, twice she has told us my neice was approved to travel for a vacation and both times she has told us last minute she had to cancel the travel because it wasn't approved. I asked her why she said it was approved and she stated she never told me that. I read her text with date and time and she tells me to talk to her supervisor but would not provide the number. I have texts messages of her stating the approval and asked for the itineraries so she can make arrangements for transporting my neice to the airport. Because she waited until the last minute to tell us the travel was approved, ticket prices had gone up and the nonrefundable tickets were the only ones reasonable. Not only have we missed out twice on nonrefundable tickets but the emotional trauma this has caused my neice is unacceptable. I get there are other kids and cases....but you keep giving a child hope and getting them excited then turn around and tell them they can't be with thier family for the holidays? I know there are good case workers or managers because we worked with one in the past and we NEVER received the inconsistency and lack of support and this type of treatment from the previous case worker. Florida or Highlands county needs to do better.

They are a joke. They don't put everything in the reports that are told to them. They only use anything bad and then they have the courts take away the parental rights of parents who have done nothing wrong.

They need to get better people in there to work for them that doesn't lie and turn people words around to suit them self, they need to be for the children and the family reuniting and these people are not.
