Place promises much. Website shows it is well funded, and churches send volunteers and funds.

It is a good-looking place with lots of promise.

Grass is overgrown. The ditch is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

The office is huge for a part-time staff. There are no phones downstairs for volunteers to answer incoming calls.

I really did not see much in terms of community activities on the calendar, mostly bible studies. There is a park across the street that has play areas.

ESL classes would be much better use of services and resources than Bible classes. Churches are there for religion, but community centers should be for integration and involvement by the target population. The undocumented are being exploited and can use knowledge to survive.

Apologies, but I am disappointed that my young daughter was sent here by herself as a volunteer across town to open the center, with no prior knowledge about the Clinton area or what to expect. She did not want to go there across town to water plants or empty trash cans as the emailed instructions suggested.

The constituents served need Spanish speaking volunteers paired along with others. My daughter is bi-lingual and was able to help a woman who had rental issues with a very bad landlord's agent. The lady did not speak English and along with her three young kids was being illegally threatened with eviction from the Harbor Apartments. Helping those kinds of things would be better suited than Bible classes on the schedule.

Why not hold classes to teach dealing with civic issues facing the undocumented community?

Website cites statistics that 60% of community does not have HS education and yet no resources or a knowledge base for where to get basic information. Why not partner with HCC to bring instructions on basic education?

I think this is another organization that needs better organizing to serve its mission.

I am sure this review is not going to be welcomed, but if you can not take honest opinions, please don't be a public entity.

Management and board need to evaluate what they promise and what they deliver.

Astounding. I did a teen program. The Advisor, Taylor, has the confidence of these youngsters. They are amiable, cordial and attentive. They embraced all activities, understood them and did them well. There is a spirit of mutual respect there that was positively uplifting to be a part of.

Quick easy friendly. Used them to get vaccines for a friend's dog. Shhh he doesn't know!
