A Beautiful Museum Experience

Our visit to the museum on a quiet Sunday was an absolute delight. With only a few visitors present, the serene atmosphere allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and creativity on display.

The Oil on Canvas collection was breathtaking, showcasing a remarkable range of talent and emotion. Each piece told its own story, and we found ourselves captivated by the intricate details and vibrant colors.

The Glass Blown exhibit was equally mesmerizing. The craftsmanship and artistry behind each piece were awe-inspiring, leaving us marveling at the skill required to create such delicate and stunning works.

This museum is the oldest art museum in the United States that focuses primarily on Southern art and culture. There's an array of portraits, landscapes, pottery and folk art that will amaze any visitor. I recommend that everyone visit this museum.

The art at this place is simply amazing!!! I took my daughter a week ago and we absolutely LOVED it! We were also impressed by the size of the gallery. Art greets you on the first floor and shows off on the second lol.

Additionally, the staff was super helpful and friendly. One gentleman even offered us cold water on our way out! Bathrooms are beautiful and clean as well. Such a great value overall for the admission price. A great gem in Augusta! Highly recommend.

This was our first time here and our family had a wonderful time visiting the museum. There are so many pieces of art to view and plenty of areas to sit and rest as you reflect on the beauty of the art. The cost is reasonable and there are discounts and promotions occasionally. For example, my entire family was admitted forfree for a military promotion. Thank you for honoring our service! Parking is easy and there are usually plenty of spaces available. The bathrooms are on the second floor; the ones on the first floor are private and kept locked. There is a gift shop with many nice things for all budgets and an area for cash donations. We are already planning to come back again!
