I'm a homeless vet currently in their ssvf program. They stole my section 8 voucher and have intentionally prevented me from being housed. They are offering me no guarantees and they are pushing themselves away from my situation intentionally they have made promises then told me that those promises were never made or they could never fulfill them

Still waiting on furniture, they've been telling me for months there getting me furniture, every time I ask what's the hold up I get excuses, don't say it gonna help if ur not

If you are a Veteran in need, then MSHV is a great option for you. They offer a ton of services including temporary housing, help finding long term housing, clothing, household needs (toiletry/cleaning supplies) as well as a bunch of other help that you can find on their site. If what you need is not something they provide then they can point you in the right direction. They are very well connected to different organizations that are focused on helping Veterans.

I learned about this charity over 6 years ago and have had dozens of encounters with them. Both as a Veteran seeking help and as a volunteer. Each and every time I have worked with them has been great. I normally do not review businesses but felt compelled to after reading a couple of reviews.

People (especially Veterans) are reluctant to seek help because many of us were taught that it shows weakness (which is BS).That tough guy stigma needs to change. I do not want anyone who needs help to be deterred from getting that help because of a petty fictional review.

I had a referral to visit and received some needed clothing. The only things that I was able to get were so and about 5 shirts. The shirts are new and I'm very thankful but I couldn't find anything else in size. I've received feedback from other Vets that had much better luck so it must be hit or miss.
