Worked in this facility when it was Windsor Place and it a great place to work. Windsor cared about residents rights and put a great deal of thought in the menu and nutrition of their residents. Medicalodges is not that kind if place. They are a corporation who does not care about the people [Employees or Residents] Medicalodges exist to make money and nothing else. Beware of putting any one you love in this building. All long-term staff left soon after they took over and more keep leaving. The administrator is rude and demeaning to the employees and residents. Nursing Staff is a joke. People fall and they just pick them up and put them back wherever they where without notifying the nurse to cover the fact that they just aren't doing their job's. I would never work for or put a family member in this building.

Management is horrible problems go unaddressed and covered up one lady fell 10 times at least in one day and they just picked her up and put her in bed no charting no doctor informed they just pushed her off to another facility to keep the state of Kansas away beware of the neglect this place will allow . If they have dementia and have behaviors they will be chemically restrained and drugged so they won’t cause any problems. For the price people pay they deserve proper care and more staffing !!!!

My Mother had bed sores so bad she almost had to get surgery. She kept getting Severe UTI only found out because my sister and I had to keep insisting that they check her for it. Then to top it off the Care Facility was not up to code and they had to evacuate the residents to a facility of their choice. I was advised that Medical Lodge purchased a newer building from Windsor Place in Coffeyville on the West side of town. I chose to place my Mother there thinking that they would have more adequate staffing. I was unfortunately wrong. My Mother was miserable there so my sister and I transferred her to the Medical lodge in Independence ks as it has approximately 40 residents and they are fully staffed.
This whole ordeal has been so emotionally draining for my family. My Mother is totally incapacitated and needs 24 hour care. She deserves to be treated with dignity. Not left soaked all the way through her nightgown and mattress. Then when she rings buzzer she is snapped at by rude employees who tell her she is not the only person in the building and then leave her soaked with a bed sore for another 2 hours because it takes 2 people for the hoyer lift. THIS IS MY MOTHER!!!
The ONLY reason I transferred her to Coffeyville from Augusta, KS is that my sister lives right next to the facility that ended up getting evacuated. I have contacted KDADS and filed a formal complaint

Be careful placing family at this facility. They allow prejudice employees to publicly write racial slurs online. Not a safe place for defenseless Caucasian elderly people.
