If you’ve read previous comments, you’ll know I would also give this place a 0 if I could. Came in here for suspected appendicitis. Decent wait, but we noticed as people moved from the exam chairs, either sick or just in pain, NO QUICK WIPEDOWNS OF CHAIRS/TABLES. So that’s gross. Finally get into room, dried blood on the floor. A constant “we’ll be right back” they never did come back lol to me not a big deal, I wasn’t in agonizing pain, but I was left in the dark, with no answers. Anyways I’ve been here for 16 hours and they moved me 4 rooms down and am STILL WAITING . Also negligent care of bio hazardous material. Listening to the night nurses talk should be embarrassing to them. How do you come off so unorganized and unconfident in your decisions? The whole hospital is cold and outdated, maybe put some money into a few things and new employees & this place could live up to its true potential. But as of right now, it’s a disgraceful excuse. And I’m asking to to be transferred.

I have been to this hospital six times in the last month and a half to two months. I see a doctor for throat dilation very awesome doctor. The nurses in endoscopy fantastic the only problem I have is with an anesthesiologist named Lulu who absolutely thinks she can override a doctor. I come in there, letting them know from day one I am very faithful when I come on an anesthesia. . I come in there, letting them know from day one I am very faithful when I come on a anesthesia. I have my wife go in with me so when I wake up, she’s able to calm me down. Mind you, my wife is a RN of 15 years. She’s no stranger to procedures, Doctor has let her come in and actually requested her to do it so it keeps the nurses and other patients safe. Needless to say I walked out of my procedure yesterday with my throat closing Because of the anesthesiologist name Lulu I do not recommend that anesthesiologist for anything I wouldn’t recommend her to put my dog to sleep and do the procedure.

Just left getting a GI procedure done and the staff was awesome. My procedure was 9/3/25 and every nurse down to the clerk who work in endoscopy took exceptional care of me! I felt comfortable and like I was in good hands. Even Dr Abdulla GI specialist was great. I appreciate the care.

⚠️ Serious Patient Safety Concerns — Please Read ⚠️

My family’s experience with this hospital was not only disappointing—it was dangerous. After my loved one was admitted for a severe foot injury requiring surgery, the hospital initially tried to discharge him without treatment, despite obvious signs that surgery was urgently needed. I had to push back with medical logic and advocate hard just to get them to take him seriously.

When they finally agreed to perform surgery, they rushed it—and then discharged him just hours later while still groggy, confused, and clearly not in a safe state to leave. No clear instructions. No follow-up coordination.

Worst of all: He went missing for five hours after they released him. I begged staff for help, and they told me to “call the authorities” because it was “no longer their responsibility.” He eventually showed up at home—driving himself with a cast on his foot, still medicated from surgery.

They also failed to prescribe enough pain medication to get him through the weekend before a follow-up, and the surgeon refused to return any of our calls. I tried repeatedly for hours, left messages through the operator, and even had family members try—but no response. It’s been days.

This entire experience shows a deep lack of care, communication, and basic responsibility. If I hadn’t been actively advocating for him, who knows how much worse this could’ve been. Please be careful. Patients and families deserve better.

Went to the hospital today got there at 8:30 I was having stomach pains, I was throwing up On top of neck and back pains!! I waited in the waiting room for three hours !! They put me in the exam room I waited another hour!! They never gave me no meds Anything For that matter!! The doctor walked past and talked To everybody but me, even the people that came after me!! They sent the nurse and To ask me the same questions The other two people asked me!! Just to send me back in the lobby So I just left !! Like if I was to die today It would be their fault

You are better off driving to Hurley in flint if you’re in the area. I was seen by the triage nurse at 0130 and didn’t get treatment until 0800 the same morning. I had suspected rib fractures and all they offered was Tylenol and to sit in the waiting room because I was considered “stable”. I saw two triage nurses, Renae you need to be fired immediately. John you were awesome thank you for everything you did to ensure my comfort after waiting 6+ hours. Clifford from imaging you handled the situation as best you could, thank you for being gentle and understanding! Such a disgrace of an emergency room!

Great staff and caring. Dr. John Wesley was great and he listened. Very helpful. Gretchen was a great nurse and help subdue my back pain and stomach issues. I will never ever go to Flint McLaren again. Thank God for your Lapeer location. The E.R drivers were awesome too.

After experiencing a fall resulting in a severe fracture I was taken to Lapeer McLaren hospital. I couldn't ask for a better staff. From the nurses to doctors and everyone else treated me with such kindness and compassion.

Five days later I had to come back for surgery on my wrist and again the operating staff and anesthesiologist was absolutely amazing. They honestly couldn't have been more caring. I highly recommend this hospital!
