I work in the art business and occasionally collect paintings and works on paper. Through work, I've been in touch with many framers from around the country. Make A Frame is unmatched in their taste and the sensitivity with which they handle the work clients entrust them with. The shop employs mostly artists, and this is reflected din the taste and care of the work. Jess is fantastic to work with, and provides very good advice on frames and dimensions to go with (in an instance where I diverged from their recommendation I regretted it hahah). Their prices are marginally higher than other local custom frame shops (20-30% higher), but the value they provide is well worth the difference.

I was recommended to Make A Frame by someone in a different industry. The staff I personally dealt with in person were Thoren and Ed. Ed and the owner Thoren were both very kind people and I was fond of the design of the frame they collaborated to make for my vintage prints. The wood for the frame design was custom made hard wood and color matched tastefully to the prints colors. There is no doubt in my mind the quality of their work is fantastic. However, while I think when dealing with a business the quality of the product is very important, service should be considered as well.

their manager Jess on the phone and Thoren from email was superb. I had an issue with a matter they didn’t need to help me with but they did anyway and they helped tremendously.

The cost of having the frame done for some might be a bit of shock for some, but you get what you pay for. If you care about your artwork, photo, or whatever business you are bringing then you can be assured that they will give you excellent service and a masterfully crafted product.

A few days ago I was carrying out the duty of getting a photo framed for someone. It was my first time ever dealing with a custom framing service, and I was very uneducated about the topic. I needed advice, and when I got to Make A Frame they were awesome. The options for framing are endless, and all of my questions were answered. I learned a lot from the woman helping me, I forgot her name but she was awesome and let me sort through all of my options. Unfortunately, the pricing was a little high for the budget I had to work with. However, a work order was filed for me in the case that I decide to return to complete my project with them. I am very grateful to have gained knowledge from the staff here that I did not have prior to walking in. Professional and I would come back in the future when my budget allows!!!!!! We have used Make A Frame twice and have been very happy with the results. The craftsmanship of the frames is top-notch. The staff is quite professional and seems to be well-versed in art handling. The only downside was the wait time... it took about 3 months to get a recent piece framed and returned to us.
