Super helpful if you’re extremely poor. If you fall thru the cracks and think yo I can get help cuz the government wont help you, think again. They follow the same guidelines if your household makes more than $2400/mo. You’re SOL. They can’t help with rent, utilities anyhing because you DONT have 3 kids and you a full time job.

I have never felt more humiliation as I did coming to this place and applying for help. The way my husband and I were treated was appalling. He is sole provider in our house and after having to have surgery recently we've found ourselves in need of help. I was told I had to register through love inc. I made my appointment and she was actually on the phone with me as I was trying to find the office. As I walked through the door she asked if I was she. I don't know if she had expected someone or something else, but how we got treated was so humiliating. We really needed toiletries and she told me over the phone I could get them there. I had to almost beg, the intake was horrible and the lady at the desk just sat there and said nothing at how we were being brow beatin and talked down to, but spoke up to say you will have to wait until the 24th for anything we don't just give out food that's 7 days away. I was so frustrated and ashamed my eyes started to leak the woman looks at me and said in the most rudest voice ever "what are you crying about"
Never again will I ask for any form of help or suggest anyone to come here.

Love INC has always been great to me Melody that works there is such a caring woman I just really think her a lot for everything she's helped me with through the years I think this is the best place to ask for help and get prayed for they do really care about the folks in Lapeer and I for one appreciate every bit of it may God bless love ink and always be with them and I love you melody
