Never have I been treated with such a non-caring, dismissive attitude! I've tried to report disability income being stolen, vehicles and heavy equipment being stolen, four wheeler, etc. THEY DON'T CARE! All they care about is what the fastest way to get you to break is! Seriously, they do not value a person's situation. Lori Ringo and her constant, disconnected "um, ya....I don't know" response to genuine, life altering questions is a disgrace to the organization.

I recently moved to Las Animas County, and I am the caretaker for a special needs adult. Getting paperwork done and transferring from one place to another can be a bear, but the staff is so laid back and helpful, going out of their way to make sure I understood everything! Just remarkable staff...

Very rude staff. Lady at the front desk was nice, but when we tried to ask questions from another staff, she was very rude and made me and my mother feel very stupid.

I don't understand. You'll be the 1st on queue when you call but then instantly be routed to voicemail? People's livelihoods are at stake and maybe need benefits asap. Idk, maybe they're understaffed, but it takes a lifetime to get a hold of someone who can help you.

Which accused me of sending diagatory txt messages to miss Sanchez personal cell phone....

Nobody will return phone calls. If you go in and talk to someone they all say "will look into it and call you back" with of course no phone call back!! It's the case managers and their supervisors that do this. The front desk people are clueless!

Extremely rude people. Applied for food stamps multiple times and never got a call back and every time I went in they kept saying they’d give me a call. After a month I check my email and I got an email that they denied me because I didn’t attend an interview. No one had informed me of an interview. I also tried to call multiple times throughout the month and they don’t answer the phone. Right after I received the email I went in to talk in person and to ask to set up an interview. So the lady at the front desk went to tell the social worker this (I don’t know their names) she came out of her office and yelled at me. Told me that I can’t get food stamps because I’m not the head of my household. When I am the head of my household. I live on my own. Why would someone work for social services if they don’t want to help people I hope the woman that screamed in my face today loses her job. Good luck getting government assistance with them.

I fought for my kids for 10 years in court. I didn't have any charges on me because there was nothing i did. All my drug tests came back clear because i wasn't using. They told me i had to get a dishwasher washer and dryer a fenced in yard. And a boys room and a girls room. I did all this and still didn't get my kids back. 😒 i loved my children ❤ they didn't break our bond as they wanted. But i missed out on so much. My babies are grown men now.my two older boys did not Graduate. But get this my youngest sons grandmother kicked him out before his last year in high school he came to finally live with me he Graduated from John mall high school in Walsenburg co. They took my children because my mother and sister lied and started rumors 😒. Shame on you Nicole the case worker. My boys know the truth of why they were taken. The real truth 💯 Dont trust these people not one bit. All because i came out of the closet about my mom molesting us as small children. Yep she said she was going to make my life a living hell if i ever told. Yep they sure did.
Believe me this department has no concerns on the child's welfare. my mother and sister told me everything on there death beds. SHAME ON YOU DHS
