I signed my kiddo up for the Futsal Winter Training U8 program with Coach Chad. I was excited to continue his training experience with a program that had pretty solid reviews.
I was disappointed in the experience, but Coach Chad does have the knowledge and stern coaching skills to teach kids.
- Zero Futsal Winter Training communication via email, text or a sports app. I mean ZERO, not a courtesy welcome email the week of class, not an intro email, not an email canceling class due to the snowstorm. Ridiculous.
- I paid $50 dollars for a shirt I expected to receive the first day of class. I received the shirt three days before the class was over. Did the kiddo need a shirt for this training, absolutely not, complete waste of money. Coach Chad was consistent - Zero communication to the parents regarding why the shirts were MIA and a partial refund was not offered.
- No simple introduction on the FIRST day of training. A basic intro laying out the upcoming weeks and introducing his "assistant coach". Not sure who the dude was, but he would oversee our kids while Coach Chad trained his core team, this happened at least 3 classes.
- When the assistant wasn't there Coach Chad tried to stretch his skills between 20 kids split into 4 teams, ridiculous! Did not work well, parents chimed in to guide their kids.
- No added technique, the kids did the same thing every week for an hour and thirty minutes. I believe in reputation, but not one additional skill development, really.

Coach Chad could've benefited from a sports app, to help his non-communicator personality. And a "hello", "have a good night" and a quick update a couple times during the training informing the parents his view on how the kids were doing.

Again, not taking away from his talent in the area of soccer, it was evident when watching him train his core team. He was kind with the kids in Futsal Winter Training U8.

My son loves being a part of this league. Chad is an amazing coach and such an understanding guy.My son enjoyed learning from Chad’s teenage coaches who are soccer players themselves! Fun and also a lot of learning happening here!

KCSC has been very pivotal in the life of my 6 year old daughter. She has blossomed socially and gained confidence that is heard and seen! The practices are structured. The coaches are encouraging in speech and courage has been instilled over the last month. Positivity is encouraged from all staff members. My daughter has exemplified self-control in the sport of soccer, which has spilled over in the form of discipline educationally. My daughter is excelling because the social piece of her life has been fulfilled through each practice and every game she attends.

I enrolled both our 13yr old son and 5yr old daughter in KCSC. We love the little kickers program. We have seen our daughter flourish tremendously with the help of coach Chadd. Coming into this she had no experience and now I can say she is a soccer player who will be back for next season. As far as my 13yr old, he enjoyed playing and I noticed a slight improvement but feel that the coaches given to his team were not as professional and involved to teach as Chadd is when he is involved. I looked forward to practice when Chadd was there because I knew my son would get the knowledge we came here for. Chadd is great at what he does, definitely recommend him. We just need better coaches for the other teams if he is not there.

Coming from an Italian household soccer is king! We have known Chadd for at least 10 years through soccer. We first got to know him through Rec SSA teams. He was just a parent volunteer, we were playing against him and we loved the way that he coached his kids and wished we were on his team! We were so excited when he decided to form his own soccer club. Our now 14-year-old son played with him for 4+ years and loved it. Chadd is patient, and does such a great job withkids. We have a four year-old and it was a no-brainer to put him in Kennesaw City Soccer Club. Chadd does a phenomenal job with these little kids. It is no easy feat handling meltdowns, boo-boos, and cheering on their little victories all at the same time. And he makes it so fun for them! Chadd has the perfect personality to coach these kids and we are so thankful that our kids have him to teach them soccer.

Coach Chadd is seriously amazing! He was great with names and attempting to gather the numerous 4 and 5 year olds. I was impressed how he knew so many names the first practice! My only feedback is that I think so many people joined this year, there were too many people for one practice for this age group, so perhaps having them break up into smaller groups. But coach Chadd and the high school students in our group did a great job trying to herd the children, encourage them, and teach them soccer fundamentals. At this age, this is what is most important. Kids having fun so they want to continue the sport and also learning the foundations to build on later. This is really what they do here! They also all had great ways of communicating with the kids and continually trying to engage them. We stopped part way through the season because we decided our 4 year old twins weren’t quite ready yet age wise. We are still practicing the different animal named moves that we were taught and hopefully next year it’ll be a better time for them. And we will definitely be back here over any other rec league in the area for sure. Coach Chadd is passionate about soccer, working with the children to better understand how to play, and is just overall super nice and approachable. I felt like if anyone had a true complaint, he would be easy to talk to and would genuinely work on making positive changes. Thanks for a great (short) initial experience!

I appreciate that every family has their own experiences. I'll share mine: Coach Chadd and Kennesaw City Soccer Club are the real deal. I've coached rec soccer for 7 years; my three sons have played rec and club soccer for over 13 years. Coach Chadd started coaching my 16-year-old over a year ago, and I've seen a dramatic improvement in his game. This improvement translates directly into passion and love of the game. The fundamentals he's learned have increased his speed, accuracy, and teamwork.

My 9-year-old has only played rec, and we moved him from a neighborhood league to Kennesaw City based on the great results seen with my older son. You can tell Coach Chadd truly loves coaching kids and brings the same passion for coaching to these younger players. He knows what age he's coaching and turns up the intensity as they get older, but he always focuses on teamwork and fundamentals. My 9-year-old says he loves Coach Chadd and has learned a lot from him.

The other reviewers mention the assistant coaches as an issue. All are very talented players, and perhaps there may be some opportunities to improve their focus and time management. However, I've watched them, and when they are actively coaching, they are on the field, focusing on the players as well. Yes, they may juggle the ball or kick it back and forth during water breaks, but that speaks to their love of the game.

If you want your player to learn good, fundamental, competitive soccer in a true developmental environment, Kennesaw City with Coach Chadd is the place for your player. If you want your player to show up on Saturday mornings, play some hot-mess rec soccer, and head home without really growing, then you should consider looking somewhere else.
