This Guy Jay A. Motola, MD is a total nut case, he has been sued before for malpractice, works for NYU Langone cause he has no prospects of his own, after years in practice, no following, imagine, he consults students at NYU required to be examined but that is all. I say this mafaka he made me wait, was in a bad mood, refused to do an ultrasound, and diagnosed the issue incorrectly. This is a jerk with an MD license that should be kicked out from NYU Lagone, he is a time bomb that will surely cost the hospital millions in the near future. Don't see this creep your health is at risk.
Look what others say - so you get it this is a real riview and this jerk needs to be summoned in to the administrator's Office.

Worst doctor ever not even gonna waste my breath I could write a book about my unpleasant experience but whatever if you want bad service go here and good luck getting in contact with them.

This doctor was INSENSITIVE and hardly took the time to help the patient understand what was going on. He also had two female interns with him that he didn’t have the courtesy to ask if it was ok to join and observe the diagnosis. He also felt very DISTANT in his approach to making the patient feel comfortable. NO WAY I would recommend this guy to anyone, not even a remote chance.

The front desk experience is counter productive. I was asked to register at the kiosk and wait. This process was great until I was told I was told I still needed to fill out 12 pages of the same information. That wasn't the worse part. Dr. Motola came in the room fast talking me through my appointment as if he was a cheap car salesmen. While laying on the table he decides it would be appropriate to take call. I won't be returning.show less

I scheduled to come see Dr. Motola going outside of my own healthcare system to have what could be a serious medical issue examined. I came in, filled out my paperwork and was escorted to the exam room. After the assistant took my vitals, she said the doctor was a little behind but would be in to see me in about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later no one had come in to give me an update. I came out of exam room and the assistant said I was the next to be seen and the doctor was finishing up with someone else. 25 minutes after that I came out of the exam room again and the assistant said he was finishing up with someone else and another patient was before me. I can not believe this is how an experienced doctor runs his practice at Mount Sinai. I will go back to NYU to receive proper care and attention.show less

Jay Motola and his residents saved my life on 6/27/22. I obviously cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and treatments. They were direct and did what was necessary after an emergency that occurred while I was working in NYC. I was able to return home to Seattle and have surgery. One of the best doctors I have ever encountered

Saw Dr Motola for a visit after a trip to the ER. Fortunately I was able to see him sooner than my originally scheduled appt because a slot opened up, so I was grateful for that.
Front desk and Nursing staff were great explaining to me what things were and what was to be expected. My wait time time when there was minimal.
Once I met Dr Motola, not only did he not explain me to me why there was another person in the room, but he also seemed rushed through the visit and explained literally nothing to me. Not what the tests he was running would be or why he wanted to perform a particular procedure on me.
Everyone has their off days so maybe that's it since his other reviews seemed positive, but when it comes to something so personal and intimate I had hoped for a better experience.

Dr. Motola is a superior, trustworthy professional with extensive knowledge and deep understanding of urological issues and patient options. He is accommodating and sensitive with regard to unusual patient medical and personal challenges. Waiting times are often short, though sometimes quite long. The staff is efficient, helpful, and compassionate, and the nursing staff are particularly skilled and reassuring.

Office never called me back with test results. I finally called 2 weeks later and was told I needed to come in for a follow-up, which I refused to do seeing as my first office visit was a big waste of time. I requested Dr. Motola call me back with my results, he never did so hopefully it's not life threatening... I will be going to another doctor and requesting my test results.

There are too many doctors in NYC to settle for this level of care.
