For the last year, I've been a senior companion at Independence Village in Naperville. The feeling I get when I'm there is home. The staff and residents are like family to one another. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and real friendships are formed. This is not a nursing home, nor does it feel like one. They offer daily fun activities, games, crafts, as well as weekly outings with transportation to stores, restaurants and events and they even have a salon on sight for hair & nails. They offer weekly cleaning and laundry services and 3 meals a day prepared and served in their dining room are quite good compared to other facilities I've worked in. I love that they have fun parties and outside entertainment often as well as therapy pets that come visit. Every day I see their them making updates and improvements on units and the entire facility. Highly recommend IV for that next stage in life, when living at home alone is less than ideal.

Independence Village is a great place to check out if you are looking for senior living. Nathan is wonderful. I am continually impressed with his knowledge and expertise and witnessed firsthand his compassion for families and residents. This is a family-owned community with family running the operations. And it shows, with lots of happy residents. Keep up the amazing work.

Independence Village in Naperville is a great place for your loved ones. We move new residents into many senior living communities and this community definitely stands out. Friendly staff, the food always smells delicious, great residents and the building is very well kept. Highly recommended.

An older friend had a stroke and needed a place to stay where folks would keep an eye on him and hopefully draw him out to meet others so he wouldn't feel isolated. IV was chosen and Nathan and his team are doing their utmost to make him feel at home in his new surroundings. I dropped by one evening and wanted to stay myself as the staff and the environs are so inviting. Please tell me there's a book club and some card game fanatics (or that I can volunteer to run same) and I may become a fixture there myself!!!

Great fit for what our parents needed. Parents maintain their independence and dignity but are getting the help they need to still be independent in their apartment. (Meals, cleaning and med management). Lots of activities although they are not super social so hopefully the proximity will bring them out of the room. We are a month in and have already seen positive changes in their living conditions and health. Nathan is super helpful in explaining everything. The health aides are in contact whenever they notice something. Pricing is lower than the resort-package type places we looked at so manageable on their SS and savings..

Really a great addition to the Naperville community and the great healthcare support in DuPage county.
