What a gem of a place!! My family & I have stayed twice & eaten at the restaurant multiple times during our visits. Absolutely LOVE the rooms, food, service, & atmosphere. Linda goes out of her way to make you feel at home. So much fun playing bingo too! Emily in service is also personable, kind, & attentive. We will definitely be back!!

We have been coming here for a while; and loved it. Just returned after over a month and let me say we were so disappointed. New owner serves plastic silverware and paper plates. My husband and I ordered a hamburger and hotdog dinner plate. After cutting my food, I realized I was getting particles of the paper plate in my food. Just dinner alone without drinks was just over $40.00 at that price I want a real plate and silverware. Not to mention they increased the prices and decreased the portions. Very disappointed. I don’t think we will come back until the new owner realizes the damage they have done and changes it. No one wants to eat on paper plates in a sit down restaurant charging dinner meals $14.99 and up. We also noticed the decline in customers.

Delicious food, good prices and friendly staff and patrons. Everything we had for breakfast was tasty and the portions were very generous. It was actually difficult to choose what to order because everything sounded good. Beautiful views outside too! Definitely a nice out of the way place to spend some time.

What a great little hide away restaurant.| I wish we knew about this place earlier and only got the opportunity to go once.|They have it all… 10 different beers for ONE dollar each ! | Their food was excellent. Our large group ordered in house made Pulled Pork egg rolls, 8 ounce hamburgers , outrageously delicious pizza, fried pickles & mushrooms. Everything is Homemade and generous portions. They are located on the St John’s River, have numerous TV’s, Bingo and Music . If in the area, you need to try it .| Our server was Sam. She was very knowledgeable about menu items PLUS she is excellent & attentive . Even took the time to take our picture outside on their very extensive dock. Awesome place

This was our first of what I know will be many many stays at “Idle a While” riverfront resort , restaurant and bar.

Linda , her husband and entire staff have learned the key to being in business. It’s all all about people and the service and facilities you’re willing to provide.

I loved everything about our stay in our very comfortable, clean room. The room seemed newly renovated with absolutely ice cold air conditioning, mini fridge, safe and a wonderful mattress and bedding.

We brought our boat to enjoy Silver Glenn Spring , which is a very short ride from the marina.

The boat ramp was plenty wide enough and had a nice incline with enough water in it for us to easily float our 24’ deck boat off and on.

We had two meals at the restaurant, dinner and breakfast.
Bridget had the gator tail which I thought was excellent & the kids portion of Chicken Tenders and they were excellent.
Great batter with a perfect wild game taste on the gator tail for me accompanied by a choice of sauces.

I had a well done hamburger with blue cheese crumbled, fried pickles, lettuce, fresh tomato. It was delicious.

For breakfast, Alice recommended the River Shrimp Hash and it is now at the top of my list of all time favorites for breakfast. But honestly, I could eat it all day long and not get tired of it.

She also recommended the Vanilla pancakes and Bridget loved them.

The servings were so large, we could have split a meal and had leftovers.

The restaurant is on the water , open and airy with a large full service bar along with great tables on the huge decks.

I loved the people, the room, the restaurant, marina , plenty of parking . I could go on and on.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
