It’s a no for me. The lady took me off the list even though the email said “respond no later than 10 days from this date” I responded 2 days later because I had to wait on my & my children’s birth certificates. & when I explained in the email the above comment mentioned, she said “I should’ve told her that.”

My experience with this place has been nothing but more than pleasant. All employees are helpful despite the situation. LEXY!! The most kind patient lol omg the lady is wonderful she understands me and is always informative to any question I have ever had.

Front desk lady was nice. Had an appointment to meet with Diana who was the sweetest. She answered all of my questions I had and I mean every one lol. Place was very clean. Staff was nice.

I had a similar situation and i am Caucasian. The thing was that i had been sitting there for hour 1/2 and i reortex it to a higher person there and then i was called in for my appointment. I was dealing with a situation where my was physically violent towards me, so needless to say i submit everything at that time but when i left my ex thought i lied so he physically abused me bad. And so shen my childsupport came in two weeks later i was too scared to take the trip back to the office to b sitting waiting.. and then not even 2 weeks after that the new lady sent me a letter stating i was terminated from section 8 after 18 years due to not being elderly not heing disabled in which my son has epilepsy and i had just started a new job through a temp agency and had worked for a company for 12 years so because i held a minimum wagw job n was there so long she said.i was more than capable to take care of 3 kids and beings a single mother i was terminated i could do.on my own. But nothing was said about the lateness on my checkstubs. I called prairie state and they said. They would help me cause had no legitimate reason to terminate me.. ive homeless for over now

The lady Jennifer Yochem Admissions Rep has a nasty attitude she acts as if it's her house or apartment she is giving away. She is very curt and condescending. I provided this lady with everything that she needed as far as documentation of my income. I am on disability and fully qualified for the program. Instead she requested more documents from the past year when I already provided bank statements going back 6months, to be nosy looking for things to go over with a fine tooth comb to find some type of reason not to give me the voucher. I did speak with her supervisor but they are all in kahoots together. After dealing with this lady and office I felt discriminated against, I guess you have to be Caucasian and not to be scrutinized and to receive the voucher... These people could care less about your housing situation and they do not help you instead they make it hard. It's funny how I qualify with another housing authority but not at this one!! I will be reaching out to HUD and someone above this office as far as my situation with a lawyer And I'm waiting to hear back from the news which I reported this to as well because these type of things need to be exposed for what they really are.

This is the worst place to port too. They lied about my income and said I made more than what my taxes and check stubs say. They all have nasty attitudes and racist. They lie to make themselves look good. They don't offer home ownership through Hud from what I was told. They financially violated my finances . I don't recommend this agency to anyone. When I asked how they came up with the numbers I was told at the Briefing I was rude and would be asked to leave. Come to find out they counted bonused and overtime as recurring income that is not guaranteed to receive. They changed everything regarding my port in income to more than what was actual considered recurring income. They talk to people like they are dumb . Katy and office manager need to be replaced immediately. Actually all staff need to be replaced . This is a government funded agency! The funding is not provided by staffs income and should not be judgemental against ppl of color.

This place isn’t how it use to be where as soon as you walk in you are greeted & if they are busy they would at least acknowledge you and tell you that they will be with you in a moment. Instead, you have to speak up & stand, wait between 5 & 10 minutes until their finished. Cindy & Angela are truly missed.
