Absolutely a joke of a place in terms of communication and scheduling!!! I’ve waited MONTHS to get an appointment because the front desk lady with brown hair is terrible at schedule and communicating with her coworkers. When I finally got an appointment. I drove almost 40 mins into town and waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes. Came into the building for my appointment for another 30 minutes where the short front desk lady with brown hair disappears for a long while. I was then informed after nearing 40 minutes of waiting that the counselor Meagan LEFT the building! No communication regarding my appointment and no heads up to inform me before I drove almost an hour into town….. I’m absolutely furious over this because it was such a waste of gas and TIME! I rearranged my whole day for the appointment after waiting several months. I’ll definitely be reporting to the appropriate parties.

Very sickening. Traumatizing, and filthy. Why would Texas pay these people ? It reeks !

Drug use from girls here allowed, alcohol snuck in from girls, the girls are sneaky and mean here. Yelling and screaming at each other all the time, girls screaming on their phones all the time and in the middle of the night. It’s scary here. Staff doesn’t do enough nor do they care enough. Not enough workers. They promise to help us on day one. Staff is talking about quitting and actually leaving and quitting because of how traumatic this place is. Not only that. This place is so nasty. So very dirty. Gross. Unclean. If you are truly seeking healing and help safety and support this is not the place. They allow a lot of terrible people in and out of here. A girl staying here keeps going back and forth to the mental hospital. She is the talk of the shelter. Talking about killing people! Girls get in fights. Staff picks sides favorites. They just don’t care here. The city needs to look into this place for the abuse the nasty dirty unclean place they make us suffer in here. Do not donate or support this shelter at all. They need to shut down this place fire everyone responsible for the horror that goes in this “dv shelter” and need to rebuild rebrand and hire all new people. This world is a terrible place anymore. They don’t make the world like they use to when we were younger growing up. Avoid this place! Run and hide anywhere else!!!!

They will re-traumatize you. They offer victim advocacy services, and they will tell you that they will help you. But then they will go ghost you, and they will not help you. You will call you will BEG you will email. And still no one will actually help.

Lied to me about providing protective order for MONTHS as well as counseling in a timely manner..did not follow through on their promises and I suspect we're only interested in my case to get a percentage from the forced sale of my house. Totally inhumane treatment.
