This is more than just a prescription, this is a medication my mother in law Diane Landry could not go without. Without it, she has a life threatening blood clot condition which can kill her unexpectedly at any time. She switched her medicare plan and did not know she would be faced with a deductible out of her price range and that her insurance would NOT cover any prescriptions (even with life threatening conditions) without meeting this deductible first. She is a widow to a military veteran who tragically passed away in 2021 due to Covid-19 and she has been left to fend for herself since on only social security. While it killed us to not have the finance to help her with this cost, I was not stopping until I found a way to get her this medication. I asked around for possible help, with no help and only criticism and rude words. I tried to contact the manufacturer but unfortunately she didn't qualify for discounted medication because she is on government insurance.. Then I came across FRST - First Responder Support Team post on my timeline and remember how they helped George Z. Landry, our children and I when we were first getting established in NWLA. They helped us get on our feet with providing fund to get groceries when we were without pay for a brief period of time. Not only did they help us with providing food for our family, they also helped us with gas funds to get our 2 daughters from Iberia Parish before a hurricane went right over my grandmother's house with them in it. And now, yet again they have helped our family in a way we could never repay. The clock has been ticking for my mother in law to have another bad blood clot, and we didn't know when and if we would ever be able to get the funds to pay her insurance deductible. If it wasn't for FRST we could have possibly faced another horrible tragedy.. my mother in law passing away. She is the glue to this family, she is literally a angel on earth and my best friend.

If you are military, law enforcement/family to, and you need help, literally anything. Eric at FRST will do everything in his power to get it done. These people are amazing, they work fast and have some of the most integrity I have ever seen. I will forever be in their debt.

FRST is a top-notch organization that is a true pillar of the community. They are all about action and not about words. If they say they will do it, the do!

To see the things they are doing for first responders, active duty military and veterans has been awesome. They continue to help break the stigma of mental health and show people that it’s ok not to be ok! I will continue to support their mission and help in any capacity I can!

This organization is the most effective I have encountered. They make it possible for our first responders-who take on some of the worst feats to help us-to receive mental health services in as little as 24-48 hours.
Our EMS, fire fighters, and law enforcement officers often pour from bone dry cups, and don’t want to weigh their loved ones down with some of the tragedies they see. These workers don’t make as much as you’d think, so having access to mental health services is a game changer. It is heartening to see a program so passionately effective reaching those who need it!

FRST is an amazing organization, run by Veterans who really care about service members and first responders. They go above and beyond, usually at great personal sacrifice, to make sure they pick up when the services leave off.

Top notch organization! They help connect veterans to mental health professionals within days of reaching out. The process to start is short and easy. Same for financial assistance for veterans!

If you’re looking for a nonprofit that truly stands by our nation’s heroes, FRST (First Responder Support Team) is a standout. This organization goes above and beyond to support active-duty military, veterans, and first responders, and their impact is nothing short of phenomenal. Unlike so many nonprofits that exploit vulnerable individuals during life-changing events, FRST is genuinely dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding our nation’s warrior class. They understand the challenges these individuals face and offer real, heartfelt support.

Time and time again, I’ve seen them step up in ways that exceed expectations—whether it’s offering immediate help in times of crisis or providing long-term resources. FRST is not just an organization; they’re a constant, reliable pillar in the community. They consistently go the extra mile to ensure that those who serve our country and communities feel supported and valued. If you or someone you know is in need, I cannot recommend FRST highly enough. Their dedication, compassion, and tireless work to uplift those who serve are unmatched!
