Stay away from doing business or buying a property from 5th ward CRC. They build these homes less than 4 months and refuse to fix or contact you back concerning property issues.

My name is Luciana Thomas and I'm reaching out again to inform fifth ward CRC person in charge or over Ms. Cathy . I've reached out to Ms. Cathy numerous of times about problems that wasn't fix after the purchase of my first home with fifth ward CRC. She's not seeing to my concerns or contacting me. I told here that here contractors damaged the door with black paint, instead of them replacing the locks in which I couldn't access exiting the home same day after closing. For three weeks this I couldn't exit the home because the locks were done wrong, then they painted over the locks with black paint leaving stains all over my red front door and never came back to repaint or fix this problem. Next, I told her after going under contract back in May 2022, every day or week, I came out to check the status on the building process, I noticed the contractors who were putting floors down use the master bathroom tub to wash their tools out in left the water sitting for over 2 to 3 months. After moving in the home, The tub had dirty ring stains and looked used when its supposed to be brand new. I brought this to her attention, she sent out another contractor to paint the tub. Within 1 month,  the tub started peeling. The contractor came back out and painted it again.  The CRC representative who came out to inspect these damages told me I couldn't use no cleaning agents to clean tub. I use the soapy water I took baths in to clean around inside of the tub. Up to a year plus later, the tub is peeling paint all over causing health or lead problems. Me and my granddaughter have to take baths in this condition.

Next, I told her about the floors are coming up upstairs, nothing was done or she didn't respond to my concerns. Now the floors are coming up upstairs and downstairs in the living room and stairs. It's getting worse all through the home. The vents on the outside of the home for the microwave and dryer were bought cheap caused damages to my microwave and dryer.  The microwave, every time it rains, water is sitting inside the microwave causing rust and ants to be inside of it. My dryer no longer works properly because of water inside of it from rain water coming inside the home from the outside vent. I can't afford another dryer at the moment causing me grief and a headache of having to go to the laundromat at least twice a week. The garage door stop working almost 2 years now. The garage floor/concrete and driveway leading to home is having signs of Fondation separation. I also had problems with the inside kitchen sink is about to collapse, water was leaking out to the outside of the house that someone she sent out half done the job.

This is my first home and I would've never thought my experience would give numerous problems living in a brand new home. I didn't expect these problems.  I feel like I was scam purchasing this home.  The home across the street from that is built the same way by Fifth ward CRC,  property owner purchase here home $30,000 cheaper and having similar issues as I'm having. I can go on and on with my issues with the homebuying process problems but trying to work with Fifth ward CRC before seeking legal matters or news reporters/ investigators involved.
