Space has created a wonderful and warm venue for musical artists to display their creative talents to an appreciating audience. This Sunday nights jazz singer was Elaine Dame. She had assembled other talented musicians and greatly acknowledged them during this 1-1/2 hour set. She is gifted as are the piano player, bass, drummer, horn folks and singers. Wine, beer and cocktails are offered. It was a wonderful evening.

Seeing this building brought on fun childhood memories as my dads first job out of college in the 60’s was in this building. I loved when he took us to work with him as the company made film editing and cleaning machines. He said if those walls could talk! 😉

While the inside is now a restaurant and music venue, the facade is the same. The service is good, the dining room ambiance is cozy and casual, and the music venue is intimate. The bar stools are big but uncomfortable as the backs do not support you. Sit at a table if you have a bad back and plan to stay a while. It’s a fun place to see shows. However, I’m sorry to say I can’t say anything good about the pizza. I will go back but order something else.

Great venue for listening to all types of music! Exceptional acoustics, great staff, tasty beverages! Easily my favorite place to see a band.

What can I say about this place to really get across how excellent it is? I’ve seen the mountain goats here now 3 times and it is always the best, most intimate show. With both the performer and the crowd. I do really think that a powerful indie rock situation is the perfect act for this space, and it might fall flat for some performers. The act is so close to the audience that it really requires personal engagement and vulnerability.

Love playing here. I have been playing music here since it opened. Friendly staff, they take care of musicians as well as their patrons. Sound and visual sightlines are great. Cozy but still feels like concert setting with tables and chairs for some shows and standing room for some shows like a rock club.

Nice small venue with good prices/friendly staff. However they really cram the seats in and for sold out shows they quickly run out of places to stand, forcing anyone with a standing only ticket to awkwardly crowd in front of the bar. Would really love if they removed even a few seats from shows so that there is a better standing section

Loved it hear. Very good sounding room, and the size of the room is perfect. We saw the Beatles and they sounded great. Hunter out waiter was quick and kind. Loved the mezcal margaritas. They offer table seating and standing room in the back of room, both options offer great views and sound. Will definitely return.

It's a nice place to see music. Very intimate. The room is small, and there are not enough seats, so some will have to stand. We had difficulty purchasing seats here and had to buy standing seats, which to me was a big deal. I wanted to buy the nicer tickets, but there was some sort of error with the website.

I loved seeing Hiromi's Sonicwonder here. The only bad thing about my night was two very drunk people behind me who kept heckling and yelling at the band.

Aside from that and the tickets fiasco, I'd still recommend this venue. Evanston is a beautiful city.
