My primary care physician of many years retired during the pandemic. I have been searching for a doctor who is thorough, understanding , knowledgeable, practical and has a good “bedside manner “. A friend recommended Dr Chorney to me and she exceeded my expectations. In addition the office staff and assistants were all pleasant and helpful. The bonus was that I did not have to wait. I arrive 15 minutes early and I was seen at my scheduled time !!

Cannot reach primary care doctor's office directly, must go through a "patient access representative" who then connects you to the next available "agent". Spoke to said agent to get Dr. appt. and have Rx refilled and no one returned my call, supposedly due to "Black Friday" hours. Even as an 81 year old senior, I only get to actually see the doctor for my annual Medicare wellness visit, unless it's an emergency. All told I very warm personal, competent medical experience as currently practiced by Northwell Health. Their health portal is also very poorly designed which also doesn't instill any confidence. If Northwell Health has "Leading-edge Resources" as they claim, they must be well hidden.

She ran blood work and called up and asked ME if I had an infection! Had to beg her for Epstein Barr virus blood work, she was very rude when the results came back positive, told me "there's nothing we can do for you". Told her I was being seen at the covid clinic at Westchester Med, her response was "there's a covid clinic?" I said yes, if you have any other patients that are post covid you can refer them, her answer was I don't have any patients with post covid. ?

This is my 2nd time seeing Dr. Chorny. Although the nurses at the office are very kind, Dr. Chorny is very cold, rude and condescending. I did not feel like my concerns or questions were heard/addressed and now unfortunately have to find another doctor. I tried asking questions based on my health concerns and I was given very rushed, unclear and condescending responses. Very disappointed.
