Beautiful small town, we took the trolley for $0.25. We walked around downtown and ate at the Clocktower restaurant, on Wednesdays you have wings for $0.50 and happy hour starting at 3.00pm. You cannot leave without visiting St Francis of Assisi Catholic, it is beautiful, you also cannot miss the ground of Mary Baldwin University, The Wharf where there are a variety of restaurants. It is a very beautiful and cozy town

We passed through Staunton on a road trip and were delighted to visit such a nice historic district.

Beverly street has a section blocked off for pedestrians allowing easy access to the many restaurants and shops. To our regret we could only visit for a limited time.

Definitely an enjoyable place to visit.

Shout out to Karen! She is a great representative of this lovely town. Karen is so kind & knowledgeable about Staunton and truly wants guests to have a unique and awesome experience. We went back to see her and let her know how much we enjoyed our stay. Will return again and again & hope to see Karen’s smiling face when we do!

We were lucky enough to join the Trolley Tour and learn more of Staunton's historical context. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a good job pointing out specifics while offering an inclusive sense of the town's history (e.g. the content went beyond white history to speak to black experience). We stopped at a beautiful church (Trinity Episcopalian) with fine carvings and stained glass. My only complaint was the price: $20.00 per person felt exorbitant, but we learned a lot and enjoyed the A/C respite on a hot July day.

Once a favorite weekend getaway from Richmond. Shops are great but restaurants Aioli and Zynadoa have gone so downhill that I doubt we'll be back anytime soon....

We always stop at visitor's centers when in a new town. Usually the guides are very helpful. Because of Gloria we spent much time (and money) here in Staunton. She was very informative, helpful, and enthusiastic. Gloria rocked!!!

Great variety of hot and cold continental breakfast, very kind and helpful staff( especially housekeeping ), room very neat and clean with all amenities. Just disagree/did not like, after paying for room, having to also put down a $200 deposit. You do get that back immediately when you check out but most of the time when traveling and/or on vacation, after you have made reservations at a particular inn, you are surprised when checking in that you have to also put down a deposit. This may have been on the website in small print and if so I do apologize. On another note, requiring a deposit of any amount, would most definitely deter those folks that take towels, sheets, etc and/or do damage to the room and/or the furniture, TV etc.
