You wont ever be able to access anyone in the office on the phone. Very frustrating.

Just spoke to some woman named Laurie. She was extremely rude from the start. She wouldn't listen to me at all about what I wanted to ask or say. She would cut me in the middle and not let me speak. Just because you're having a bad day that doesn't give you the right to be mean to people. On the meridian website it says my son has the meridian insurance. She kept being mean and told me that my son doesn't have insurance. Extremely rude lady.

The staff is always helpful and seem to know what they are talking about. However, the lines are always insane. I have spent 4 hours in there at times. I never get calls back either. It would be nice if sometimes you could hold and wait on a case worker to talk to on the phone. I cant make time to go stand in an office for hours after school.

This office starts taking walk-in’s at 8 am even though the door and website say they open at 8:30 am. I went in person a total of 3 times (twice just to drop off paperwork and ask for an update) and on the third visit my concerns were addressed because I had time to see a caseworker. The case worker was helpful and proactive by renewing another benefit that was near expiration. Had she not done this I would have been right back in the office a week or so later. From the time I got in line until the time I left was just shy of 2 hours (1 hr. 57 minutes).

My experience calling: I have called and left messages with no return call. Another reviewer said you have to press the pound (#) key after you record your voice message to send it. I have not tried this yet, but plan to if I have to call again to see if I get a return call. I only received a call when a caseworker had a question about my case (after I went in person twice to make sure they had everything they needed). There seems to be a technical issue involving the ability to view documents that are uploaded online. There also seemed to be some question of how some caseworkers handle a case compared to another.

The only advice I have is to go early (8am) and ask to speak to a caseworker in person if issues arise or you have not heard back from them in 30 days. They also say they stop taking walk-in’s at a certain point (Maybe after 2:30-3 pm?). I also don’t know how you would verify this because the phones are not answered. Keep record and copies of all the things you submit to them, if possible ask for a receipt when you turn documents in to cover all of your bases.

Took my father here so he could get my step mom signed up for medicaid. The first day west went the office woman was wonderful. She was very kind, helpful and understanding. The next time we went there was a young man working the window and he was rude, inconsiderate and I have no idea why he works there because it is obvious that he hates people. Thank goodness by the time we got to the window the nice lady was in and opened a second window and took care of us.

This place is a lifesaver for those families in crisis. They can watch your children in case of an emergency. It's not permanent but is very helpful. There's many other ways they can help families in need so they're definitely worth checking in with and donating to. The money goes directly to their cause.

They used to be kind and attentive now not so much, the most unprofessional person there is this heavyset woman who's office is in the back she is a brunette wears glasses and looks sweaty.

She is not qualified to work with people and a very rude personality. The best person to work with is this african american man mid 40s and very professional and kind he doesn't always say what I like hearing but at least he isn't rude with it and actually calls back.
