We just returned from our visit and our experience at Descanso was exceptional. I honestly can not think of one thing they could improve. The hospitality, attentiveness, and overall friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The team truly enjoys their work and is committed to providing an excellent stay, a rarity in many traditional understaffed hotels these days. From the moment Dustin checked us in, he was always available to assist us, whether offering local advice or delivering wine to us in the hot tub. We were impressed with everyone, including Vlad, Bob, Dustin, and Charles. The whole place is a testament to meticulous attention to detail. I highly recommend Descanso and can not wait to return!

I just wrapped up my third stay at Descanso! This place has become one of my favorite spots Palm Springs. When I plan a trip this is the first place that comes to mind.

The property itself is well maintained,the rooms are very clean and tidy, and the heated pool feels fantastic day and night.

The resort has such a chill, welcoming vibe and the staff is fantastic—friendly, respectful, and always ready to help. You’ll see them buzzing around making sure everything is clean, well maintained, and the rooms are ready for the next guests.

A big highlight of my stay was Charles and Dustin. They’re amazingly sweet, provide top notch friendly customer service, give excellent attention to detail, and just overall great energy really made things even brighter. Every day I looked forward to seeing them.

Finally, the complimentary breakfast is awesome—fresh pastries, fruit, and coffee to start your day right and if you want to partake in lunch you simply place your order with them from a local partnering restaurant.

If you’re looking for a peaceful and fun getaway in Palm Springs, I can’t recommend Descanso enough. Thanks again to the whole team for another unforgettable stay!

Our stay at the Descanso was incredible! It was our first time, and I really didn't know what to expect but I’d heard great things. Something that struck us as we walked into the resort was the beautiful design, how private it felt, and how clean it was. The pool deck and all the grounds were Immaculate and very inviting. Even the pool loungers were premium and so comfortable, it was hard not to nap. Our room was on the second floor and had a beautiful layout with nice bedding and toiletries. A unique feature was a live fiddle fig plant right in our room, a perfect homey touch. It was our anniversary and there was a card along with some treats and a candle waiting for us in our room when we arrived. That was a really nice gesture, and we felt instantly welcomed. One of the things that we liked about the Descanso so much was the fact that we didn't need to think of anything! Everything was provided from a wonderful breakfast, great sandwiches and salads at lunch, and a stocked cantina with soft drinks/coffee. I would also like to add my thanks to Bob in the cantina for his cheery and efficient service every morning. I also loved how he has reusable silicone wraps for the butter and jam, so plastic waste is reduced.||If you need anything there is a way to text the resort (for your lunch order or with any questions/requested. Every time I texted, I got such a swift response and that was really appreciated. We arrived late on Saturday night after the front desk was closed, but directions were sent in advance on how to access the self-service check in along with our welcome packet. All of that worked flawlessly.||This resort is very conveniently located and does offer free parking, though we didn't have a car with us. We were able to walk to a great sushi restaurant called Sandfish which was right around the corner. You can easily walk to downtown in about 30 minutes if it’s not too hot. Otherwise, a very quick Uber/Lyft will get you there in no time. The staff also compiles a list of all the restaurants that they recommend in the area and that they send out in advance and that was very helpful. My only note that might be helpful to some travelers is that when we were at Descanso, it was very quiet and very chill, a perfect place to relax. If you are looking to be more social, while still relaxing, their sister property the Santiago (where we stayed after our three nights at the Descanso) would be a great choice. One other thing, the hot tub was way too hot – my watch said the water was 107 degrees (a couple of different times) and it was just too hot to sit in for most. Friends who stayed after us noted the same thing. Hopefully an easy fix!||Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I would not hesitate to come back here anytime.||P.S. This is an upscale, clothing optional resort, and you will see people naked. There is no pressure or expectation to be nude, and some guests were not, but if this would bother you, definitely book elsewhere.

It is always a fun and relaxing time at Descanso. The staff is awesome. The beds are very comfortable. The amenities are excellent. And the other guests are good guys to mingle and chat with.||The staff fusses over me but without being intrusive; they make the stay easy and very comfortable. ||The resort is a close drive or walk to the Design District in Palm Springs and fairly close to downtown as well.

Our first visit to Descanso, and it was fantastic! The property is beautiful, and matches the website pictures exactly. We selected this property over others partly because of the lush landscaping, which provided some shade for us when needed. Plenty of sunny spots, but that's not our thing. The room couldn't be nicer - clean, fresh design, and plenty of space, and great bathroom. Then there is the whole experience - the Descanso team couldn't do enough to make sure we were well looked after our entire visit. Starting when great coffee early in the morning, a wonderful breakfast, lunch brough in for all guests, and a wine hour on some evenings. And all in between, Charles and the entire team constantly looking after the property, and always checking in on how we were doing, and if we needed anything. A simply outstanding visit, we've found our new home-away-from-home in Palm Springs!

Originally, my husband and I tried to book a room at their sister property, Santiago (we've stayed there before), but they were booked, so we decided to try out Descanso. We are so happy we did! EXCELLENT resort. The rooms are beautiful and include daily housekeeping (so rare nowadays!), great common area where we met the nicest guys from all over the world. The daily breakfast and lunch were great, and finally, I cannot say enough about the incredible team at Descanso.

I love the location. Just a mile up the street from downtown (Palm Springs Canyon Dr), you could walk it if you wanted, or it's a super quick car ride to the best shops and restaurants in Palm Springs.

As I mentioned above, we met the best group of guys who were staying there. In just days we were having dinner and exchanging numbers with our fellow guests. No pretentiousness, just friendly men who were all just enjoying the beautiful resort.

Lastly, the staff was top-notch. Very friendly and inviting. They made us feel right at home immediately.

I can't recommend Descanso enough. There is no doubt we will stay here on my next trip to Palm Springs.

We booked the larger suite and it was like living in a mid-century modern Palm Springs apartment. The location was convenient and we were always able to find a parking place or nearby street parking. The pool was always warm and the jacuzzi so relaxing. The staff, cleaning, front desk and breakfast bar, were all exceptional.

From the time we arrived, the service and attention to detail was fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The property and rooms are very well kept. The poolside ambiance is very relaxing. A very generous breakfast and lunch are included each day of your stay, with a little wine happy hour in the evening. Would definitely come back!
