The girls are very nice!! Of course it is not crowded at all. They spread the appointments out. You fill out the paperwork and if you need additional information you have to upload it to their website. They are backlogged, I was told that once they have all the information it will take up to six weeks before they get to my application. Understandable. Just need patience. I was told that during the waiting period to keep paying on the utility bills. Hope this helps.

Misinformation everywhere. I was told that if in disconnection notice they don't consider your income as a disqualification. I took time off work to come in. I go in, and was informed that I don't qualify due to income. No consideration for life events, health, or a ridiculous bill over 500.00 a month. Waste of resources and time when you try to plan ahead and go to the correct places for help and they misinform you.

My experience was great! I had a liheap appointment and it took about 10 minutes. Very fast and professional people . I highly recommend this facility. Never crowed only 4 people at a time.

I apply for the free gas,they where en lunch so they make me wait when a ready had the appointment,way they give me appointment when they are en lunch I dont know.After i ask information to the lady the work by the door(she speak Spanish) ,so i ask information about the repair program,she answer to combag after,if they approve the free gas,so i di it,it was other person en charge of the program,and she give me all the information i need,she didn't know way she didn't give me all the information from the beginning......................

Thank you CCI for our new hot water boiler installed by Proline in Elgin. My husband, a disabled Viet Nam Vet and I are seniors and had a boiler that was over 30 years old and an old a/c hanging by a thread. We looked at gas bills and electric bills that were excessive due to the inefficiency of our boiler and a/c. On a tight fixed income we weren't sure our old ones would get us through the winter. CCI's inspector Andrew, came in and found that we had harmful fumes coming from the boiler and confirmed that we qualified for a new boiler and a/c. In the middle of all this the workers from Proline found black mold in the blower duct. Since my husband has COPD and other agent orange issues, this was serious. With the help of Andrew , CCI got us approved to have the mold removed! I cannot tell you how grateful we are to him, the management of CCI and the utilities for approving us. We will now have efficient working systems which will not harm our health. Thank you CCI for being there for people like us who truly need your help.

Terrible service!
People are RUDE regardless of the posting in their office for clients to be RESPECTFUL - when you ask for RESPECT you must provide the same!!!!
I went in to request LIHEAP assistance and when they book the appointment they are RUDE when you go in for your appointment they are RUDE and when you speak to the supervisor to report the poor service she JUSTIFIES them and herself by saying that there is alot of applications and not enough workers. Well guess what?!! I'm not requesting assistance just for the HECK OF IT!!! I wouldn't like to be in the situation I am in but because I am I have to deal with this type of service?! SERIOUSLY some assistance programs treat ordinary people like scum from the moment they open their mouth.
