I spoke with Ali on the phone, and they were so friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to explain to me the process in which they approve funding for help with LES bills. He went out of his way to find the assistance I needed and provided a miracle for my family. Lincoln action program is amazing and helps the community in so many ways!! There is no way that every week on Monday if the messages for rental assistance begin at 8:30am and you leave your information at 8:30am there is no more funds for the week to help. Like what is the funding budget for the week $500. To do this every week at 8:30am on the dot when messages can be left and not get help just adds an additional stress level to an already traumatic situation. I don’t deny there is a high demand for support and not everyone will receive it but I’m starting to question this phone line process and its accuracy. For those that have learned the recipe to this system please help because this is my 1st time being in this type of situation and I’m losing hope that I’ll ever get help. Especially if I gotta keep playing phone lottery.

We had signed up for the weatherization program back in April of 2024 they told us that probably nothing would happen until the beginning of the year of 2025 due to the waitlist being so long which my spouse and I remained patient. Now it’s the beginning of the year and we’re being told we still have to wait a few months and now all of the problems with our older home is arising and it’s just pretty frustrating we have two disabled children and wanted to make a better space for them now we are stuck with bursted pipes and a flooded basement .

What is the point on having a so called program to help with disconnect notices when in reality you don't help unless it actually get shut off. You say you have certain funding for disconnect notices vice versa when it's shut off. It should be the same funding. You have gone down hill after the years go by.

Was impressed by the call back. But was immediately told since my utility wasn't actually shut off they couldn't help. But my bill is over 500 with a disconnect notice and the reconnect fees would be over 400.00. I'm pretty sure they won't be helping with that much. Feeling defeated. I never ask for help but they know people are getting these outrageous gas bills. Why would you wait till it's shut off?
