It's too expensive and way overpriced here. Their website is outdated, and the navigation is all over the place and they don't show you your utility bill online

This place is going to drugs and petty crime, homeless left and right due lack of affordable housing, things only getting worse. And those of us that recycle, it's a joke in city limits, they just say they recycle to look good in the pup lic eye, this whole town is a joke, only reason it's still hear is due to the military, who is also running this place into the ground. Wish I didn't have to call this place home.

Working with Ginger ,Brian & Patti in the building dept was a great experience ! The first day Ginger sat down with me a guided me through the permit process , when I told her that my experience with another town was awful she said We want you to do business here. Mike with the fire dept was the same very easy to work with.

I’ve never lived in a place where the local population hates on the military so much. Not to mention the whole reason the island is way over priced is because local landlords are scrapping as much profit off the military as possible. Seriously the 8 years I’ve lived here started out pretty great, but over the last couple they’ve gone so far downhill it’s ridiculous. The price of everything is already outrageous compared to most other places, but to completely double the price of rent in the span of three years? Ridiculous!! If u ask me the military and the service men and women would save a lot of money if they just lived off island and commuted.

We have lived in Oak Harbor for 12 years and really like it here. We live on Pioneer Way with a beautiful view of the harbor looking out toward Maylor's Point. Unfortunately there is a parking problem whenever the city sponsors activities that affect the parking of vehicles along the street. Our driveway is flat with the street level. When there are vehicles parked to the east of our driveway (SUV's large trucks etc.) they create a dangerous blind spot to oncoming traffic. Only the highest point of SE Pioneer Way is visible beyond the obstruction. By the time a vehicle becomes visible it is almost too late to avoid a collision which by the way I have been lucky to avoid narrowly. The point here is that the parking ordinance 12.10 in the code stipulates Mon.-Fri. hours from 9:00 am to 6:00pm at one hour limits. This creates a liability not only to the cars that obstruct the line of sight to the east but can potentially cause a liability to the City of Oak Harbor if the parking problem is not remedied. I'm not one to be litigious and would not want to see that happen. It can be remedied with constructive analysis if conducted by the traffic management dept. I hope for the best possible outcome for the benefit of all. Thank You.

I moved to Oak Harbor in November 2016 and signing up for utilities was one of the easiest parts of the move. The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The previous tenants left an overflowing trash can and trash service wasn't due to come until Friday so she scheduled a truck to pick up the next day. Haven't had a single problem yet..

Does anyone ever answer the phone or return phone messages? Don't try to charge me a late fee if you can't perform your job.
