Billing issues, pool was not cleaned well before remodel. We canceled over a year ago, but received a invoice from 2023 with $200 past due after we canceled our debit card to stop the auto-withdrawal. People who work there couldn't help. Full of unprofessionals, just disappointed overall.

Took my daughter to swim and found it to be a nice building. It's clean, the pool water was a very nice temperature. They have a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Locker rooms are well kept. My kiddo loves the slide. I thought it was really neat they have mats in the kiddie pool area underneath the tire swing and water dumps in case a child falls. It didn't smell heavily chlorinated which was very nice. They were fully staffed with lifeguards. My only complaint is quite a few of the lockers in the women's locker room are broken and could use a fixing. Will definitely be a repeat swimmer.

The lady at the front desk was very polite and professional. We got our guest pass quickly and went to the pool. They have a big slide and a small playground type equipment in the shallow end of the pool. They have a whirlpool area along with a lazy river. They also have an area to practice doing laps. My children had a blast and the entire area was very clean so we will definitely be back again. Fairly priced also, I spent only $20 for a family of 4 to go and enjoy the day, but their family pass allowed up to 7 people I do believe. Our time ended early due to 100 kids coming in off of buses but before they showed up we were there with only 2 other groups. We could have stayed but we decided to leave shortly after all those kids showed up.

Great small town gym. Aquatic center amenities are more than what youd expect for a small town. The AC is great for families. 24 hour access to the gym area is nice. Generally exceeds expectations. Would be nice if the sauna hours were expanded and some of the weightlifting equipment could be updated for instance, to include easy grip (cap brand) 45lb plates that are standard at many bigger gyms. Overall, its a good Y and Ive been happy with my experience there since becoming a member in the summer of 2022

The staff is absolutely horrible they charge my card three times in one month and when I complain they act like it was my fault all of the free weights are covered in Rust and look like they're 20 years old the pool is the only good part but the lifeguards are completely incompetent and one of the girls was shaving her legs while on watch in taking selfies that has to be a health code violation the florist in the basketball court are completely beat up and missing paint the men's locker room is never open past 5:00 p.m. and in the showers the soap dispensers have been empty for the last 2 months

Love taking my kids here. There are family changing areas which is what we need. They could be cleaner but it works. Kids love the pool. There is a snack shop in the pool area which is convenient but not many healthy options surprisingly. Plenty of lifeguards on duty. Haven't really explored the rest of the facility. I think it would be nice if they offered a tour to show you what else is there.

I have always been involved with my local YMCA, and had great experiences. I am new to the area and decided to check out the YMCA at Taylorville and to inquire about any classes available for my children. As I approached the front desk, a young employee named Avery (I think) became very agitated with the person at the desk. She was upset about a co worker and she began yelling obscenities and cursing about this person. Her rant continued for nearly a minute as I waited with my small children. Finally I left when I realized I wasn't going to be helped and she wasn't going to calm down. My children had many questions that were hard to answer after hearing this exchange. Unfortunately we won't be returning as I don't feel comfortable having this person directing my childrens events. Very sad about that. 😕
