It's a great organization for helping children and women undergoing DV, especially since it is a non-profit organization that caters to those who are less privileged than others. There is no fee for folks who want to enter into the supervised parenting program, whereas others charge higher fees.

Want to truly understand how to make an impact in the community? Volunteer here. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive of their volunteers. The positive impact on kids, families, and community is undeniable. The Hanger is a gift to teens in the foster care system. CASA is the highlight of all my volunteer experiences. If you have a caring heart, strong desire to support a child, and make a difference- volunteer today!

Horrible at returning calls and scheduling orientation but is fast at telling the courts you didn't comply. Such a joke this place is. Good luck reaching heather dewolf and forget about walking in to talk to someone.

Update: My counter parent did not do his part and sent an email saying he wouldn't comply. We had to get a new order. Which was sent over. No one contacted me. None of my information has changed. Funny how that worked. I called numerous times and no luck to get a hold of anyone. When I did get a hold of Heather Dewolf she told me that if I go back to court to not have to deal with them it would "look bad" on me. I already did what was court ordered of me to revert back to 50/50. So it is what it is. I just accepted it. Heather then proceeded that they had no record of me ever doing the intake the first time. I told her who did it and how I toured the facility. I am surprised that piss poor record keeping is a thing when their job is record keeping. This place only cares about the money versus functioning like a respectable place. I am so thankful that I hang on to all my paperwork because of these clowns. Now I can't even get a call back to restart the process. SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!

I wish I could give 0 stars!

If you care about the safety of your children, go with literally any other option. Don’t even bother asking the court to order this awful place.

I want to preface this review by saying Megan, the supervisor is lovely and responsive. The sad part is, Megan is the only competent and compassionate individual at this facility.

We were assigned Yvette in December. Yvette had us fooled well. She talks the talk, but she doesn’t hold space for ownership and accountability. She is also extremely discriminatory and appears to be easily manipulated by the other party.

Unfortunately under casa’s watch my children were further abused. This consisted of whispering to my kids, lying/bringing up forbidden adult topics, passing messages from my ex thru the kids to me. Etc etc. they allowed him to violate not only our restraining order, but our court order and their policy’s as well. Why are you allowing criminal behavior here

My biggest issue with this place is the clear bias they all have. Bringing parents and children are put in this situation by no fault of their own…so stop treating them like the offending parent.

Another major flaw in this organization are the discrimination and retaliatory tactics.

For example, casa will “strike you” for being early (sitting in on street parking) but not the other party that tells your kids their other parent is a liar and alienating them. lol. Truly a disappointing experience. Beware of the “good reviews”. Casa needs new training, and new staff asap!

Good luck to all who enter these doors. Watch out for the unhoused individuals constantly sleeping in the parking lot with exposed needles and bottles.

My first encounter with CASA went well , I took an online parenting class thru them before having my daughter, and it was a good experience. Idk what has changed there, but this time was not as memorable. I called to inquire about volunteering. I was told the person who handles that has just recently left. something about military duties, I think .
I was directed to the website to sign up for the info session. I again made note that I kinda just wanted to know the hours and min days required. This time, I was told “I will repeat myself a second time and ask that you go sign up and then perhaps you will find the answers you are looking for. Following instructions is key in what volunteers do here. it’s a quality that must be possessed. If there is nothing more I can do for you, i will look forward to seeing you at the info session. We are really busy here as you probably know already so please save anymore inquiries for the session.”

no thank you CASA; I can sense that environment is not as warm and welcoming as in the past. Mrs odonald should work on being friendlier and understanding. 2 stars (only because heather was AMAZING to deal with last year and so it’s only fair to average the stars.)

While i was in a custody case the courts appointed a Casa member to our case. He done so much for my son and his 5 siblings taking them to the YMCA on weekends so they can see each other. Casa had recommended going to their casa closet and we went 2 times this year. Both times we were given great things plus shoes and jackets which are not cheap. Our Casa member also put the down payment for my sons braces. The casa member joined us at multiple wrestling matches as well for my sons support. They really are supportive for the families!!

CASA is a great organization that helps children and families. CASA of the PP Region needs volunteers. Their volunteer philosophy is the opposite of most other organizations. In a good way...the staff is there to support the volunteer, not the volunteers supporting the staff. The volunteers get a lot of help, coaching and mentoring from the CASA of the PPR staff. They are all very knowledgeable.

This program helped me in so many ways, I could not be thankful enough. It wasn't perfect, between how the court writes things out and how the program operates. It was a little confusing. But the courts send you here and they do an absolutely amazing job accommodating within their guidelines. I would say the biggest hassle is, the courts do not understand how CASA operates. That is not CASA fault at all. I went in with the expectation of becoming a better father, and I got so much more. CASA SEPT is actually a really good program for the circumstances. I would recommend this for most situations. Thank you CASA SEPT
