I go twice a month to help put food on the table. What I don't like. Is just Because I do a walk up. The people in the back. Right away think that I'm homeless. I'M Not homeless. Just don't have a car at this time.

This organization does so many amazing things to help those in need throughout Waco & the surrounding areas every single day. The regular staff and the volunteers are there day in day out offering Amy assistance available, information on numerous subjects, , good healthy food to those who are hungry needing to feed their families. Help for vets. Pretty much anything and everything humanly possible. They do this job with a smile and real concern to the best of their ability in the quickest manner possible. This facility has a lot of open hours & yes sometimes there is a waiting line however it moves fairly quickly thanks to their help. Even if you just need someone to talk to they will take care if that.whether you need assistance for several months or just one time you've got it and there is always a smile waiting for you. I know that some people don't want to accept handouts or charity they say we can do without. I say why ? If you really need help go there they don't make you share your life story they don't want you to fill out a book to get assistance they really want to help. For those who are interested you can always volunteer to help others anytime or donate back when or if you find yourself in better circumstances. Frankly I'm grateful for their kindness and assistance & Appreciate each and every one of them. I'm also thankful to those who donate making all of this possible & the organization along with the city of Waco.

Wait line sucks because you're outside longer than your inside but well worth it filled the whole back of the truck up with food from frozen meats to can goods to baked goods

Great Place to go and get help with utilities, food and clothing. And they are friendly and then there is a wait in line. But they get things rolling real fast too get u in. Thanks caritas for helping our community and services, means a lot to everybody in the community

I went here with my mother who is handicapped she has to park in a handicap spot and she needs help walking, she is also on an oxygen machine. They would not let me stay in there with her nor would they let me just sit with her or to help her walk around and to get the food that we need. I was told I had to leave the building and other people would help her. When she got out she told me that no one helped her and that she was basically left to her own devices. This is completely unacceptable and I am furious.

There are rules about no open-toe shoes and pretty much if you don't sign up prior to showing up there is very unlikely any chance you will be seen and we'll have to reschedule by signing up for their next opportunity of food pantry distribution. Basically it's gone back to pre pandemic operations. I would recommend with the new rules implemented that you call and schedule before trying to show up out of the blue..... Special appreciation goes out to the manager of caritas and his ability to display his professionalism day after day. And especially him doing everything he can to do good when he has the opportunity to ... That's the real that matters.

food is fresh and delicious. dairy, bread, sweets, canned vegetables, rice, beans, fruit and vegetables are usually always available. staff are kind and friendly as well as professional
