Front Desk guy is extremely rude. To be fair, I’m not sure if he’s just racist toward brown and Asian people. Take your pick. Racist jerk, or brutish jerk. Not helpful to residents, not helpful to visitors. Just there to police everyone. If that’s what the HOA is going for, congrats, I guess. Not normal for SF.

I lived in this building through 2023 in a 1bd 1ba apartment 310 landlord NT paying $3k per month in rent. The combination of one of the worst landlords on planet Earth along with the most horrible HOA made my life a living hell. If you are planning to buy or rent unit 310, DON'T. I am warning you.

The HOA is EXTREMELY rude and they make you take permission for every stupid thing. You have take permissions before buying or selling large furniture too. And you can not keep the bbq grills for more than 90 mins. They charge you $350 move in fee AND $350 move out fee. Mahara on the HOA team is one of the rudest people I have met in my life. I don't know about owners, but they treat renters like trash.

The only good things about the building are - the janitorial staff is really nice, the handymen, some of the front desk staff are all very courteous. The building itself has a well maintained pool (thanks to the service guys), okay gym, jacuzzi. That's where the good ends.

Coming to the unit itself, I am not even sure where to start. Firstly, there's no sunlight at all. That's fine, its my bad I didn't review during day time while signing the lease. The landlord handed me the apartment is extremely poor condition - lights not working, dishwasher broken, washing machine not working. When I asked to get those things fixed, I was told that it is my responsibility to fix it even thought it was handed over to me in a broken condition. Upon multiple requests she fixed it. She made comments to me about my immigration status, saying I live in the USA and that "this country has rules". Very strange coming from an immigrant herself!

The final blow was - I wanted to get my partner on the lease after 6 months because we were planning to move in. It is a 1bd 1ba 760sqft apartment. Landlord raised the rent from $3k to $3,750 just because I wanted to add 1 person to the lease! 25% increase! I went to various tenant unions to help fight her, but she won't budge. She also wanted an additional $1k in deposit just because 2 people will live in a 1bd house! Ultimately, my partner could not move in because I didn't want to $3,750 for a 1ba apartment with no sunlight!

If you made it till here, make sure you know what you are getting into. Don't buy or rent in this building. Save yourself!

nightmare HOA will make your life living hell.. avoid this apartment at all costs, plus pee and poop everywhere, homeless people everywhere. The front desk people are rude and ghetto.

The tenants at this location let their dogs pee and poop everywhere and the whole block smells like urine and dog feces. The owners don't do anything about it even after numerous complaints. Avoid these apartments unless you want to smell nasty every single day.

The stuck up residents will scream at you if you dare say anything to them, even though there is a dog park half a block away.

Even the tenderloin has better smelling buildings and the people won't scream at you.I have never been so disappointed in such an expensive area.

If I could have given zero stars I would have.
