This company was called out to fix hot spots in my home on 7/29/20 which were discovered at the time of inspection. They say they reworked duct work and replaced 25' of ductwork. A receipt was left for the work done as it was supposed to take care of the situation. On the final walk thru it was difficult to tell whether the work done corrected the issue or not. It seemed somewhat better than it was so I went thru with the purchase of the house. After about a month or so I could tell the issue was still there. I called the company back and advised them the work they had done did not correct the issue. They sent out a Tech that "specializes" in air flow. He went up in the attic and moved some ductwork around and he fed us some bull about a high flow vent we could purchase for the back room that would help pull air to that room. He also advised us to shut off the vents some in the rooms that were blowing extremely hard air and that would move the air to other extremities of the house. However, he said there was not much more he could do as the air seemed to be blowing out of the vents. We had no reason to doubt him as he was the professional, not us. We put screens on the house and did everything he asked us to do and got through the remaining summer months. A few months passed where it was nice and not much air was being used so the changes we made to help seemed noticeable since the weather had leveled out to being comfortable.
This past week with the hard cold weather coming in it created extreme cold spots in the house. Thinking we may have something wrong with our heating pump, I called the home warranty company to check out our system. The Tech went up in the attic and checked everything out only to discover the plenum is too small for the amount of ducts attached to it. The Tech took pictures and all you could see was duct work on top of ductwork. There was no system issue, there was still an airflow problem!!!! An air flow problem that was supposed to have been taken care of by A-All Area Aire. They were originally called out to take care of the issue PRIOR to the purchase of the house. This was written in the contract for the PRIOR owners to correct as part of my purchasing the home. Technically, the prior owners got shafted as well because they paid $750 for the issue and it is still not resolved. In addition, their Tech that "specialized" in air flow never mentioned once about the plenum being too small even when I asked him what needed to be done to correct the air flow problem entirely.
Now, what could have been corrected as an expense to the PRIOR owner of my home is now going to fall in my lap since they were so dishonest about it being corrected. So, if you are looking for an honest and up front company that will correct the issue they are called out to correct, do NOT use A-All Area Aire in Rockwall. I have to stay in certain parts of my home in order to stay warm in the extreme cold temperatures because they did not do their job and now I have to wait until funds are available to get it corrected the proper way.
