The services provided so far have been top notch, but the response time for emails from the association manager leave much to be desired. I understand that she cannot be at her desk all day, but taking more than 1 business day is really poor etiquette. I've had a few times where I didn't hear back for several days. I've also tried calling the office before and it always goes straight to voicemail.

I contacted the Associa HOA Community Mgr, Sara Frederickson about 2 mos ago, about several “dirt piles” all around my home and requested that someone come to remove them - at this point, I was totally oblivious to what they were & why I was the only one with these mounds in my yard. Sara replied asking for photos and I sent those to her right away. She then told me that these were “voles” in my yard and that the HOA hadn’t developed a “plan” to deal with outdoor yard rodents. Due to my ignorance I literally thought that someone was putting dirt in my yard! (Side note: these “dirt piles” are also in several spots on the sidewalk boulevard near my home as well). Sara then sent me a photo of a yard w/ several dirt piles to educate me on what the vole yard damage looks like, which was similar to what I shared so this confirmed it was an animal causing the damage. She then told me that because there was no “plan” in place there was nothing they could do right away but she would take this to the HOA Board members to get their input on how to proceed. A few weeks went by and I hadn’t heard back so I emailed Sara asking what was the outcome - as at this point I had spent time, effort (trying to repel/kill these rodents myself) and experienced much stress! She then told me that this problem would be the homeowners responsibility and that the Board made this decision based on the fact that it would cost them more money to manage it - well why am I paying for an HOA if I am still responsible for how my yard looks and furthermore this damage is not just on my property, so essentially it will effect the aesthetic of the entire community! Sara also advised that the “plan” the Board came up with was to have the landscaping company come out and rake up the dirt piles and apply grass seed so that the grass will grow back. This is not a REAL SOLUTION as anyone would know that these borrowing animals will start to multiply making the issue worse! Also at this point it had been months since I raised the issue only to find out that they don’t have a plan (which is not a good business practice) and that their “plan” is not a viable solution to eradicate these pests. Futhermore, my investmests in ridding them of my yard still puts my property at risk for them to come back and damage it because there’s activity on the boulevard as well (which isn’t my property) - so I’d either have to take full responsibility for all of the land adjacent to my home or risk having them come back! The landscaping folks were out by my house on Monday so I thought they were there to do the raking/grass seeding - I kindly stepped out to my porch as asked if that’s why they were there They said no, they were just picking up trash?!? So of course I shared w/ them the issue I’ve had w/ the moles and that Sara from Associa said they were coming sometime this week to address it. They were not aware but were nice about it and said they would run it by their supervisor because they hadn’t seen that on their schedule. Two days later they came back out to rake what was left of the dirt piles (of course by this point I’d already cleared them weeks ago). To add insult to injury, they did a poor job raking up the more recent dirt piles that I left there for them (there were only 2 to rake - out of the 15 holes on my yard) AND they failed to add any grass seed to the bald spots in my yard! I mean after all of this and they still failed to do what Associa/Sara said they would do! I’ve sent Sara so many emails over these last 6 weeks to where I figured it best to try calling her about this more recent “complaint” - I’ve called twice this week, left a voicemail 2 days ago now and haven’t gotten a return call. This HOA mgmt company doesn’t really care about the homeowners or the upkeep of the grounds because it’s all about the money at the end of the day! I am so frustrated that I am paying all this money each year to deal w/ subpar service and out of pocket expenses that they should have “planned” for when building on this land!!

I have contacted AssociaMN about Summerland Place, Shakopee, MN HOA management ( Tara S.) who has been refusing to resolve the roof leakage in my garage since September 30th. The leak damaged the interior sheetrock and part of the walls of my garage. They sent a vendor twice to fix the leak with no success.The third time the vendor came to fix it was on November 30th, 2024.The vendor said they cannot locate the leak unless they cut into the sheet rock, however the HOA (Tara,S) directed them not to cut anything in the interior of the garage due to liability.

I have been in communication with Tara S. she has been refusing even to connect me with a supervisor since 10/31/2024. Today December 17, 2024 the leak issue is not resolved and I have not heard from AssociaMN.

I found Laurie very professional when she resolved the issue when I was erroneously charged for fees that was not of my fault as she figured it out that was due to miscommunication and promptly returned the charges. Whenever I called for help, I found her listening patiently and getting bottom of the issue.
